@Soleil
sorry for the wait!

She dropped the vole into the cache and promptly began to cover it back up. The sun warmed her fur as she worked; it reminded her of the way Emrik's warmth always seeped into her skin at night as she fell asleep. She smiled at the memory, grateful for the sun today and grateful for her mate. The air was still crisp and chilly and the snow still bit at her paws as she moved it around, but every time the warm beams peaked through a break in the clouds, it made the winter day a little more bearable. She was also comforted by the knowledge that spring would be here soon, and it would bring warm days and a chance to replenish her herbs; she could hardly wait.

With the cache sufficiently covered once more, she inspected it one last time just to make sure and then turned and trotted away. She was unsure what she wanted to do with the rest of her day, but hunting down Emrik or her children was at the top of the list.
The lavender lady recognized a familiar sight, and approached with a friendly smile, "Hello Speedy," Soleil greeted. She wasn't familiar with many within Kaistleoki, especially now that some left to attend the scouting mission. Alas, there would be another day to socialize more. However at least she gained one friend here.

"How are you doing?"
Speedy smiled as the other woman's greeting reached her ears. Hey, she greeted in return as she turned towards her packmate. I'm doing well, the healer answered. And she was for the most part. She still had much to worry about but she had much to be grateful for too. What about you, Soleil? she asked with genuine interest. How have you been? Settling in okay? she asked. She knew it could be difficult to be new somewhere, and she hoped Soleil hadn't had too much trouble finding a new routine here. She hoped Kaistleoki had come to feel like her home.
