A few days ago there had been a call upon the island, a triumphant one, which had reached out across the water to her.

Hearing the familiar voices mingling with foreign ones had been exciting at first. Chun had known of her family's intentions but had not thought they would succeed so swiftly; it was good, she reasoned, and even as she hiked her way along the exposed sand car bridging the expanse she trusted all was well.

The sea had just begun to lick at her heels when Chun arrived on the isle - met with the intensely clinical sight of the beach covered in snow. It was pretty - but at the same time, eerie and empty. Growing nervous, she yields to her doubt and draws a short, succinct howl from her lungs intended to rouse her kin.
i am assuming they know each other since they are family, however if this slight pp isn't okay then please pm me so i can change it!

the claim had come to be set in place, lei lei was ecstatic. a place to call home, something so similar to what they had before. it was almost a dream come true considering the fact that almost all of her family was here too. cousins she loved dearly, and sister ruo. ruo probably hated the fact lei lei was here to constantly bother her, but nonetheless she stormcloud would remain oblivious to that fact. they were family of course, how could they hate each other?

she had found herself skipping along the shoreline, in search of more things to collect, when suddenly--!

a howl, short yet familiar, rang in her ears. Lei Lei felt herself pause on her shell-hunting mission and felt herself began to grow towards the noise with curioisty. who had come to their isle? radiant light color contrasted against storm grey, lei lei felt her cobalt eyes fixate on the girl before her.

"peachy?" she asked, remembering the little nickname she had given her distant cousin. born on different sides and with different personalities, yet nonetheless sharing the bond of blood and family. another lost dragon has come home.
She was impatient; for what, that was unclear.

Would someone come running to her across the sand, sweep her off her feet? Would someone howl first, and should she be listening? She watched the sand to her left for a few seconds, then the right, then turned around and stared back out to sea where the tide drew up and back again - contemplating the mainland - when the crunch of paws on sand locked in her ears.

Chun spun to face the oncoming sound, saw that it was attached to an intimidating body swathed in the colors of storm clouds, and instinctively began to make herself smaller. The closer they got the better Chun could see them, and when she saw the familiar eyes of Lei Lei staring back at her she let out a small but effective sigh of relief.

Lei, gosh, She felt her face flush with warmth, and with her eyes squeezed shut Chun took a deeper breath and felt her nerves steady as she exhaled again. When she opened her eyes and began to investigate her cousin's coat for signs of the other family members, she felt elated at what she discovered. I thought I'd gotten so lost. But you're here!

Hua, Ying, Kun - some others she did not know, too - but enough family to sooth her.
Relief seemed to flood her lighter cousin, and her words filled Lei Lei with excitement and joy. Another one has come home, to rejoin the group. The claim of the dragon family would be harder to beat now, for another was here, and hopefully, others would join. Lei Lei grew closer and closer to her cousin until she reached out to give her a greeting, a soft muzzle into her cheek. She hadn't realized how much she had missed her familiar family faces.

"Oh, Chun Tao! Such a beautiful sight for my eyes." Lei Lei had always thought this cousin was exceptionally beautiful, perhaps due to that glean of color that some of the other family members lacked. Different, but she still had the green/blue eyes, perhaps the most common trait between this family. "And you're here with me! Everyone is going to be so happy to see you!" her tail felt like it was wagging a mile a minute. So many faces, so many scents, so many wolves she knew and loved. Lei Lei's search for a home was over, and hopefully so was her cousin's. "How did you get lost from home, Peachy?"
