The weather was warming, soon her overly fluffy winter coat would not be needed. Soon but not yet, pink champagne eyes lifted from her dainty toes as they made patterns in the remaining snow. Pale champagne eyes looked up at the stars above her, the deep indigo that was the sky, the intermittent wisps of clouds that wished to snow on her pleasant mood. With a few hops and jumps that might have looked comical to an on looker, she sat atop a stone incline that made her feel closer to the stars.
She sighed then as she began to hum, a very quiet song once used as a lullaby.
A very whispered melody fell from her lips as she kept her pink champagne gaze in the twinkling lights above.
"Hush, lil' baby, don’t say a word.." How was it she could remember such a simple nursery rhyme when it was sung to her so long ago and in another language? It was funny how memory worked, sometimes words and faces were so clear, so crisp. Then other times it was faded, blurry, words garbled and mashing together in a haze.
She had not kept her guard up, she had not thought she needed to plus she was not a fighter but a healer. The voice startled her, female, familiar. Pale eyes fell from the sky as she shook off the slight fright, taking in a guardian, a woman of darkness and strength. Beautiful.
"singing lullabies to the stars." she smiled shyly, her tail swaying against the rock to show friendliness. Would this woman think what she was doing stupid, a joke, pointless?
Pink to purple, her eyes were just as beautiful as the pale lavender of Yuudai but hers held more color. A deeper violet, it contrasted perfectly with her dark fur. Her words came then, a simple statement that showed more in her opinion than she probably thought. She thought it was a joke, she may have not rolled her eyes but the neutral tone came across as disbelief to the flower
"they can use all the help they can get, a mother's lullaby should help sooth all the pups up there.." she spoke with a tone of wonder, she really wanted those that left before their time would enjoy her songs. She hoped it soothed their hurting hearts. Her gaze moved back to the twinkling stars hoping that if she was not staring that the dark beauty might become more comfortable around her.
Her name was asked just as she slumped down next to her, she nodded before replying with her own question.
"Vespera, correct?" She was alright with names but she did not want to get her name mixed up with another's but then she spoke a question that caused her ears to fall, for heat to creep up her cheeks and burn her face.
"well.. um.. we g-grew up together.. and um.." Her eyes fell to her paws as she tried to get her thoughts together, she did not ask if you liked her, she asked your relation, was best friend a viable answer or should she say more? Was she asking if they were together? Well, this just got awkward.
Hiromi stated in a soft voice that made Vespera's back prickled, not in agitation, but something else as the white wisp spoke of singing to the pups who's souls lingered in the sky. The dark female swallowed, her heart began to ache for she was thinking of West, the little ball of joy that was West, and even though she didn't want to admit it,
She missed him.
The cloaked woman's ears fell to her side with her eyes widening a little as if she was ashamed, ashamed to think that what Hiromi was doing was silly. "O-oh," she stuttered with her pointing her muzzle away from Hiromi and up at the stars that painted the indigo sky. "That's sweet of you..." Her voice was more sincere and honest, from that line alone, Vespera could already tell that Hiromi was a gentle soul, someone that cared for things that no one even thought of. But once Vespera asked if she had any relations with Reiko, there was a sudden change in kind little old Hiromi. The woman stuttered in her words and her ears fell to her head, noticing this with an anxiety filled glance, she quickly tried to help out Hiromi. "Uhh, you know what, how about you don't have to tell me that and just instead tell me uh... Why... You are in this pack?" An awkward smile formed on her lips as she faced Hiromi, hoping that this question was better than the previous one.
