Star waded into the lake. The ducks sat resting on the other side of the lake and she thought she would do some swimming and then some hunting. They quacked mindlessly, some of them sitting and others standing around for no reason. She dipped herself deeper into the water, shivering slightly. She began to swim in large circles, being careful not to get close enough to the ducks to scare them away. Her paws kicked effortlessly, something she had learned at a young age. It would nice if she could have a hunting partner. She had paired up with Moon a few times when they were young, but usually she was alone. It was likely a team would catch more than one puny wolf like Star.

The silver wanderer's plan for today consist of eating ducks, relaxing underneath the late summer sun, sleep. It was rather simple for anyone else but complex for him because if today was like the other days. Something would come and interrupt his well-planned day and this time he wouldn't be so nice. A flash of amusement went through his eyes as he remembered the day he had interrupted Danica at her well-planned relaxation.

He approached Duck Lake and spotted a large fluffy cloud swimming in circles in the lake. He stared for a moment before he realized it was Star, the wolf he had met when Fox was still the Alpha and had summoned the newbies so she could know them better. And it seemed that Star was also hunting ducks.

He approached the lake stealthily, spotting a large fat duck swimming slowly at the edge. He leaped into the lake, jaws connecting with the duck's neck and snapping it. He swam towards the shore where he placed the prey onto the ground, shook himself and called over to Star, Whats a fluffy cloud like you doing, catching ducks?

Star heard him approaching. She looked up to see him carrying a duck in his jaws to the shore. She snorted at fluffy cloud. "Yup. Looks like you snapped that one's neck in half. Could you help me out?" She asked. "Herding ducks into a small space where I can pick them off." She climbed up onto the shore and shook the water out of her rather fluffy fur. She sat as left over water dripped off her pelt.

"Herding ducks into a small space where I can pick them off."

The silver wanderer stared at her for a moment before laughing. Sure, where do you want me to herd them to? Straight to you?

Wait, don't kill all. We want to population of Duck Lake to increase. he called over to her, smirking. He doubted she would actually kill all the ducks, if she even had the strength to do that.

He took a step into the water again, waiting to hear what Star had to say.

"Yeah." She said, nodding towards the malards. "I wouldn't be able to kill them all." She laughed. There were tons of ducks here, too many to count. "Feel free to kill some too." She said. The population would hopefully decrease much, although still leaving the population of course. Star thought for a moment about going after Gameskeeper, but she decided she would wait a bit before starting a trade. But she would want to start a trade soon, she didn't want to be stuck in the lower tier forever.

"Got it sis," he smirked and dove into the water and began herding the stupid ducks towards Star. They quaked and swam aimlessly until he came to usher them together. Hopefully Star would start killing some soon. The silver outrider saw a large one and in an instant, broke its neck too.

He made sure some lucky ducks did not get into the herd swimming towards Star. The population had to increase, he was sure wolves would be coming here often to get a taste of what the lake provided them

Star began to pick some malards off as they were herded over to her. She killed until her jaws were full of duck necks. She carried them to the shore and dropped the malards off on land. Then she swam back to the group of ducks and continued to bite their necks. She noticed Shadow was saving a few and was glad of that.
Get this to 10 posts then archive? Since Shadow is no longer at Swiftcurrent Creek. Sorry if post is crap.

He swam towards the shore, sitting down on the ground after shaking his pelt dry of water, he slumped down on the ground and began tearing on one of the duck's flesh, swallowing and repeating. Not really caring whether Star wanted to eat or not. He had caught his own, she could catch hers and eat all of hers.

He had never been a fan of wasting food, after all food was scarce back in his natal pack and now he would not waste food.

sure so i think Star will fade out here.

Star climbed ashore with Shadow as the ducks swam back to their usual spot. They didn't even know a duck tradgedy had occured. She bit into one of her own ducks. After a minute or two she finished the ducks she had caught. Feathers stuck around her muzzle to duck blood that was wet on her face. She dipped her face it the water to clean all that off. "Thank you Shadow. That was very helpful. I don't think I could of done it without a teammate." She smiled gratefully. "I'll see you later. Goodbye." She said with a polite nod. She walked until she had left the clearing around the lake and soon she was walking through tall grasses again.

"Thank you Shadow. That was very helpful. I don't think I could of done it without a teammate." He nodded to her, not really caring about what she had to say. "I'll see you later. Goodbye." He nodded again and muttered a soft 'bye'. She probably didn't hear it, but once again, he didn't really care.

His mind was on more important things and he didn't need to care about the fluffy little cloud that he helped catch ducks with, did he?
