Evergreen doesn’t know to feel about his situation lately—a bit troubled more than anything concerning the recent events unfolding as they did. He can feel himself falling back into that dark, numbing feeling—depression gliding over akin to a warm hug, drawing him back in despite his shoulders shoving it off.
So he tries to keep himself busy, dividing attention back into observing the surroundings of Whitefish River. There is still a lot to fix up, and one of them has got to be Quartz Cavern. He hasn’t been around here since the incident, and doesn’t know if he really wants to be. But it’s a start in conquering a multitude of feelings he’d rather shove into a pit than face.

x@Winterbourne & @Emrik if wanted!
The change in Evergreen hasn't slipped past him, but he doesn't know what to do about it — so he doesn't say anything. He lingers a little more than usual, though, continuing to find reasons to be clingier than he normally is. So when Evergreen mentions inspecting the damage to the territory, he's quick to tag along, though the journey is quiet and a little stressful for him.
Eventually, they drift toward Quartz Cavern, and he has to break the silence. This is... He knows that. Feeling stupid, he continues. Are you um, okay with being here? We can leave.
