The reprimand seemed to inspire some humility in the other boy, but Figment was reluctant to succumb to the touch of sympathy that tried to tug at his heart once again. He was uncertain of which side of Tuvak was the true one, though he was inclined to believe it was this more vulnerable creature before them. But when push came to shove, which would win out? And was this just an act put on because he'd recognized it was necessary?
Once again, Fig said nothing and merely sat back to observe. It was Wraen's judgment that mattered in the end, and he would trust what she chose to do.
