Kane is offering a spar session for those that want it and to keep in top shape.

For Kane, this is Thread One of Five for a Trade; Mercenary

It was mid morning when Kane started setting up a ring. Various sizes of rocks and stones were formed in a circle making it very clear that this exact spot was used for something important. Kane had spent the last few days scouting out different locations to find one that would be suitable to set up a sparring ring. Whether or not one was already made, it never hurt t have more than one ring setup, right?

The spot Kane picked was a rather grassy area on a flat field with a slight slope. The grass in the ring wasn't tall enough to be an issue, though it would get much shorter the more it was used, Kane didn't doubt. He even spent the time to pull up the tall pieces himself to give it a haircut. The ring measured out to be eight adult wolves in diameter. So if eight wolves stood in a line from one border, they would reach the other side from nose to tail. It was large enough in size to encompass a good spar or two.

Kane tilted his head back, howling to those that might be within the area. The howl was the kind to call a gathering. Perhaps there were others that would like to stretch their muscles a bit and test their strength. Hydra did say that she wished to see and test Kane at one point, but with pups, she was out of commission for a while. Kane was curious to see who would show as he waited in the ring.
The birth of Altair, Caelum, Mira, and Mintaka had been impactful for Osiris. From the moment the pack had rallied to welcome Dirge and Hydra's litter, something instinctual stirred within him; Osiris knew that he had to protect them. The majority of his time since then had been spent tending to Moonspear's border— marking, defending, and generally loitering when things were slow. Today was no exception, and Osiris had been near-by when Kane called. He lifted his head back and howled in response to let his packmate know that he was on the way.

Kane's setup was unlike anything Osiris had seen before; stones were placed in a circle, marking the boundaries of the arena. "This is quite the setup," Osiris mused as he entered the ring and strode towards Kane, only slowing once they stood at a conversational distance.
(Sorry for the late reply. truck driving schedule ha sleveled out a bit.)

Kane was quite pleased with the creation he made. While the stones that made up the circle were difficult to move, it made all of it worth it to him. Plus - the pack had a designated sparring area too if they wished, though anyone could spar anywhere. This would be a great place to train the young ones however, when the time came for it. Starting at one end of the ring, Kane sprinted to the other just to make sure that there was enough room for a good fight. It took him nearly four seconds to reach the other side, and it told him that it would be plenty of room.

Another voice came from behind him, and Kane saw that someone had answered the call. A smile spread on his black lips and Kane smiled. "Greetings! This setup I used in my old pack, and it made training quite effective when we had at least two or three rings for all the new recruits. One will do for now, I think." Kane said as he turned himself so that he was facing him only slightly, while remaining where he stood. "My name is Kane. I'm one of the newer wolves to the pack, but Hydra brought me in to help with its protection." Kane said, bowing slightly. "Nice to meet you."

Since coming to Moonspear, Kane had come out of his shell quite a bit. Instead of being reserved, Kane was now much more social and kind to those he came across. The way he carried himself, spoke to others, and generally his focus on the pack, all showed that he was feeling his much more confident self as he put himself to work. His only hope was that he was never deemed useless or worthless. It would probably break him.
The near-yearling was a bit more far flung from the summons, having kept his patrols up in light of the new siblings to consider protecting, but it was the message it carried that warranted interest enough to lure Antares in. Usually he had his mother to scrap with whenever he could track her down on the mountainside, but given her attentions and needs elsewhere lately, he was short that resource--though, he hardly felt the ache of it given everything else he had to keep busy with and no shortage of strong wolves to shadow and learn from still. Point being, he could stand to get to know a newer face among them to help keep himself fresh, especially if his teachings aligned with the interests the young Ostrega sought to build up. It was surely something that his parents would encourage of him, too.. and maybe he could learn a few new tricks while he was at it. He was keeping his options open.

Hearing that Osiris intended to answer the call as well prompted him to pick up his pace (so not to miss out on anything), and he came lurking onto the scene while the older wolf gave his introductions. Antares' ears were keen and his thirst for knowledge deep, so he wasted no time pulling himself up to the setting and taking it all in--sight, and sounds alike--swiftly glad that he had decided to come too, at least from the looks of things. However, he would let his agouti brother take point for now, casting a navy glance his way to let him lead while Antares kept mainly to his place as observer for the very moment.
No worries!

Osiris observed the setup silently, admiring how Kane had laid everything out. "And how do you intend to use it," he asked. Osiris had his perceptions of the arena, but he was curious to know the true intentions of the structure.

"Kane," Osiris echoed, re-calling the name he had heard in passing. It was then that Antares arrived, and Osiris greeted his brother with a nod before continuing. "I am Osiris, and this is my brother, Antares," he said. "We are both Dirge and Hydra's sons," he added, with notable pride. Unsure of what else to say, Osiris regarded Antares with a sidelong glance.
