He could not sleep. There was no exact reason why his body seemed unwilling to rest, it was simply one of those nights. Had the sky been clearer he might have willed himself with walking about, but the rain seemed to fix him to the spot, making him lethargical. He simply splayed his body in the rocky overhang that he had made his bed for the night, watching as the rain slowly began to intensify as the night went on.
