Twilight beckoned her away from the mountain. She was not sure that she had ever been this far from home, though she did not worry — the ever-prevailing peak behind her was an unmistakable beacon home.
The grasses here were taller than she was used to. She liked the way they parted before her, the way the fireflies danced between the waves. Stars above and stars below. Her mind would be blown the first time she saw a lake ... though that had yet to happen.
She continued to traipse without rhyme or reason, content with her own company — for the time being, anyway.
