with confirmation that tzila was pregnant and carrying his children, astaroth was faced with the terrifying revelation that he had a limited amount of time before he'd be restricted to the island and it's neighboring territories. he wanted - no - he needed to get out and use what little free time he had left before kids started popping out and taking up all his attention.

and so that's what had led to his spontaneous trip inland and up the mountains, for he'd never quite gotten the chance to explore the many summits and their secrets. for a moment he wondered if the mushroom girl (@Reiko) was around, and so sent up a call for her should she have a moment to spare. she had offered to watch over him should he go and try some of these magic mushrooms she had informed him of. he was curious if the offer was still on the table.
A call rang out for her up in the mountains. After tucking the children away and calling for @Awenfen to take care of them while she went to meet with the one who had summoned her, Reiko took care of her steps along the mountainside as she climbed. This would be an excellent time to stretch her legs and lose some of the mommy fat she had gathered during her pregnancy.

The climb was harder than usual. Her legs were tired and her breath took longer to catch, but it was already easier to do than the climb necessary to come back home nearly a week ago. In due time she should be back to her usual self, full of energy and vigor. Once she found herself in the general area of which the call had rang out, she peeked around. Wide, bright eyes, looking around curiously for the fellow who had called her here.

Sorry for the wait, I'm very slow lately! I'll get to posting regularly soon!
he was not as graceful as the mountain dwellers. where they could stride across cliffs and rocky landscapes, he would trip and stumble. it was kind of embarrassing to be honest, especially given the fact that he'd practically been raised on a mountain himself. but no matter, he assumed with time his steps and pace would adjust back to normal, and he'd be just as quick climbing the mountainside as he'd been back as child.

"hellooo", he called out as her scent grew stronger, golden gaze scanning the surrounding landscape for any sign of her. eventually her form appeared in the distance and he set off to close the gap between them with a friendly smile and easygoing sway of his tail. "hello again!", he greeted once close enough.
She looked utterly lost as she searched for the one who had summoned her all the way out here - it wasn't until he called out did the colourless woman turn to spot the dark man as he approached happily. Oh! It's you! Hello again~ She sang with her own tail swaying happily behind her, trotting up with dancer-like grace to meet him. It didn't even strike her yet that they failed to do any introductions in their last meeting, all he was was the mushroom man for now.

Did you come to visit? The tail behind her swayed harder, her hips swaying lightly with the power of own happiness. Friends were always nice to have beyond the pack's borders, and by the man's new scent, he had joined a different pack since their last meeting.
introductions were a sort of formality that often got shoved in the mental filing cabinet of lost and forgotten. and until someone else brought up the fact that they'd never exchanged names, he often never even realized that they hadn't done proper introductions. and so instead of bring up this fact like many others would have, he simply brushed the thought aside and continued forward until they were able to hold a conversation comfortably.

"i did", he answered back when questioned on his reason for visiting. "i was hoping your offer on those magic mushrooms hadn't expired yet." he assumed his life of wandering and fun would be put on hold once his children were born, and so decided it was now or never if he was going to lose his mind.
There were very few she met and would meet again after a while unless they were in the same pack, or even the sister pack in this case. She often thought of herself to be forgettable, so even as the male who she had only met once before came around looking for her in particular, well, it brought happiness. Even if it was for some fungi!

Of course~ and she would keep to her word. She'd watch over him while the effects took place and she would be sure to help should things turn sour. I think I saw some not too far from here... Now that she had spent more time within the vale and the surrounding mountains, Reiko was getting more familiar with the grounds and what it brought. Come on, I'll show you!

Now that she was not heavy with children, Reiko was a fountain of energy, ready to run in every which direction.
