her throat is dry as she draws as near to the edge as she can stomach. it was these kinds of thoughts she'd tampered down just as soon as they'd risen, but now, as the lingering dread began to pile up, they seemed to be things she'd have to deal with. she'd learned more of the curse from one of the wanderers she'd crossed paths with, enough to know what she'd have to do when the time came.

she ought to be far from here, and yet seems drawn back. thoughts of family, perhaps, familiarity. she steps back, forcing her thoughts to the hunt once more. hunger beckons. the worst of it is the uncertainty. old scents, scattered here. she wanders from the cliff's edge, gradually, nose to earth.
hmm maybe @Rowan? ^^
Omg yessss
He decided to take a day trip to get to know the area.
Where there were the flatlands where the moors lay, the land gave rise to high cliffs where the water crashed against the base, eating the land like Tundra told him.
He hadn't yet seen a seaside storm.
Lucky.

He soon decided that the drizzle wasn't too welcome beside the expansive body of water.
His tail lashed with irritation. He wanted a nap.
Still, there was a form up ahead so he decided it would be a good time to interact.
Rusalka needed more paws for food.

He drew closer, his scent was blowing towards the other.
He was cautious, chuffing to announce his presence.
His head dipped, tail waving levelly to show he was harmless.
Little did he know it was his sister.
"rowan."

her voice was strained, taken aback. she had not expected to see him, not here. oh, how she'd missed him, all these months, weeks. but to see him again, knowing what she knew, hurt in a way she'd not expected. a low cry, and she barrelled toward him, seeking to pull her brother into the wolf version of an embrace, tail wagging in both parts happiness and nervousness. "rowan. I--" she faltered, pressing tightly against her brother, should he allow it.
That voice.
The face that turned to him.
The eyes.

His mouth dropped, tail suddenly whirring with excitement and happiness as he too rushed towards his sister, almost conking heads with her.
He whined and almost sobbed, his excitement matching hers as they greeted each other and looked each other over to ensure they were safe and well.

He'd missed her so much.

He pressed himself tightly against her as she did to him, not wanting to be parted again.
"I missed you," he managed to wrangle out, his throat closing up like he'd just eaten a frog whole.
How they'd found each other was beyond him, but he didn't care.

Rowan just thanked Mephala for the love she'd bestowed here today.
