Warden trade, wut wut.

Ever since Ptarmigan had successfully overthrown the young, white whelp, Viggo had been hard at work. It was her job to lead, and it was his job to protect. He scoured the spine looking for intruders, rubbing his scent along the borders and ensuring that his new pack-mates knew that he was here to stay. He played a prime role in her ascension to taking over the throne, and he would not allow her to lose it easily. The Ostrega had avoided making friends with any of his new pack-mates. When he was not dutifully patrolling, he was by Ptarmigan's side or hunting for her. She was his to serve, and it kept him busy and his mind off of whatever else it might have wandered to.

Today was no different than many of the others since they had arrived in Ouroboros Spine. Viggo took to the outer rim of their territory and began lifting his leg where the scent was weakest, ensuring that any outsiders knew that this land was theirs.
Vectra was also hard at work, dutifully keeping dangerous creatures away from the borders, her path seemed to be the same one the pale males was as the could see in in front of her "you one of the new wolves, or part of that other group." She didn't say other as a insult, she didn't know if the group had won, or Cara had simply allowed them to stay after she had won, so she tried to just put out that he might be from that group that challenged a few nights ago. Either way she was pleased that at least somebody was doing rounds, that means that this pack wasn't fully unprotected with its large members.

speech

Admin note: Viggo's player here! I was having trouble reading your post, so I removed your table. Could you post without it for the remainder of the thread?
A crunching of leaves alerted Viggo to the other's presence before she spoke, but he only stopped once she began speaking. He slowed to a stop, turning to face her with a steady stance. “Yes,” he replied, “Viggo Ostrega is my name, though I am no longer part of any other group, but the spine itself.” She was either in it with him, or not in it at all. And if the latter was the case, he would make quick work of chasing her out.

“What is your name?” She was a young thing, pretty, too. With markings Viggo had not seen before. His own lineage... or perhaps it was only his mother's side... was quite homogenous in their coloration. Agouti coats, most often golden eyes, with the occasional random one thrown in for good measure.
srry I didn't know it was a bother XD

Vectra was glad at least this wolf was a member of the pack that meant he wasn't a threat to its members, and possible future young. "I am Vectra, A new but deeply loyal member to the spine." she would keep her past to herself with this male, as she did not know him yet, he did seem friendly enough though. She was also happy to see someone else was taking up the guard duty and showing their thanks to the pack for having them as a member. It seemed like she would only see her and one other male on this guard duty. "you taking up guard duty as well?" her voiced was somewhat questioning but it was laced with a hopeful tone, she was excited that she and a very small handful would not be the only one protecting a entire pack, maybe soon others would follow example as well.
No worries! ^__^
Fading this out since other player has gone inactive.

Vectra and Viggo. How... quaint. The Ostrega male smiled, happy that she did not seem to oppose Ptarmigan's rightful place at the helm of Ouroboros Spine. When she asked if he was on guard duty, Viggo nodded, then beckoned her to join him in his patrols. Two bodies were better than one, especially if they happened to come across something larger than just one wolf. Not that he expected such a thing to happen, but Viggo knew it was possible.

“Have you met Ptarmigan yet?” he asked, curious to know if the members were quick or slow to meet their new leader. The way Vectra had worded her loyalty granted Viggo the belief that she had the right head on her shoulders. She was here to protect the pack, not a single wolf. Now that Viggo had taken an oath to protect the spine, his no longer worked solely for Ptarmigan. It was, however, in the pack's best interest to accept her, and he would do everything possible to make that transition a smooth one.

The two continued to search the borders for any sign of intrusion, but found none. Better to be prepared than caught off guard. Vectra seemed decent, and at least somewhat accepting of her new leader, which pleased Viggo to no end.
