not entirely sure where to fit this into the timeline sooo i'm going to be vague about a lot of things, lol.
gathering those that would rise against donovan was slow going, but the diplomacy it would require was delicate and could not be rushed. in the allying of packs that otherwise have no reason aside from a current common goal, if not done right, could backfire. for this, praimfaya draws from the experience of her predecessors.
she wanders away from the coast, with the intention of not staying away for too long, curious about what other packs she might be able to cajole. there are the packs she knows of …and then there are packs that have cropped up that she doesn’t know of. the wilds were vast, after all and being confined to a pack’s claim while gathering intel had not left too much time for exploration.
there are no packs in the grove, and thus she seeks the large emerald fronds in the dark of the night as a reprieve; a temporary shelter. at first, she ignores the rustling from somewhere nearby; wrongfully assuming it is a woodland critter. it is only as the breeze lifts and trickles her way does she realize her mistake. it is a wolf. an ursus wolf. remembering her and renard’s run-in with astara, praimfaya lets out a chuff to announce her presence.
Skoll didn't do much while he was away from the pack, really. Just exploration to learn more of the area near the place he called home. Skoll had joined Merrick and Astara's pack before he could even think of exploring anything. He had joined before he learned any of the area besides the lake that frequently had ducks inside. He didn't mind it much, though. It just gave him an excuse to go out more when he would otherwise be patrolling the border.
A chuff of a sound caught his ears, and he knew there was another wolf painfully close. At least it wasn't someone that had a hit on all of Ursus. Skoll didn't think he wanted to get into another fight (even if the last few had been entirely his fault). Skoll did make himself known, though, coming out of the brush and approaching the woman that made the noise. She was alone, and didn't seem like she had any bone to pick with him. Cool.
His face still hurt from the gashes Nyra tossed onto it with her teeth, but Skoll didn't really care.
"Hello." He voiced, in a greeting.
Skoll didn't know that the woman had a run in with one of their leaders before, but if he had, he wouldn't have reacted much differently.
