@Mintaka Minty Minty Minty

It had been a while since the dark young Ostrega had visited his mother and her newest litter. He had spent a short amount of time with the gold-touched Altair. The two of them had ventured out into the pack in search of a hunt and had found fortune in catching a hare on the slopes. When Atlas had discovered that his young bother was capable of at least keeping up – to a degree – he felt that it was important for him to go see the others and make sure they were getting enough attention from the family.

Wandering toward where he knew the rendezvous site would be, Atlas searched the area for any of the pups. He had his eye trained for the sight of a dark shape or one touched with their father’s gold, but he couldn’t see any of them bustling about. Dropping his nose to sniff, the shade found that their scents were still strong. He issued a chuff to see if any of them would come join him.

Mintaka was not bored. There was too much to do to entertain herself - it was what she was the absolute best at, after all. Wandering about and creating her stories so that she consistently had entertainment. Honestly, with the majority of people's attitudes around here, she rather preferred it. So many of them were just too serious for her tastes.

A chuff caught her attention from where she was lurking in the bushes on the edges of the site, pretending to be a spy. Electric blue eyes flicked over to the hulking form that was calling for them, and while most might be apprehensive, Mintaka was not. The girl stood and strode forward confidently, tail waving behind her in a friendly banner. She'd never met him before that she could remember, but he looked like most of her relatives - all big and black and stuff. Minty was the odd one out here, which she was starting to realize.

"Hello!" she greeted, tail waving behind her and a smile stretching across her maw. "Are we related?" It was probably a safe bet, she wagered.
It didn’t take long before a silver streak with shimmering blue eyes appeared before him. She approached happily, striding forward, and flagging her tail in a way that suggested she was not fearful of him at all. The dark Ostrega boy thought that their mother might have informed her newest litter that they would have older siblings visiting, but he wasn’t sure. When the young pup opened her mouth and yipped a greeting as well as a follow-up question, Atlas furrowed his brow thoughtfully and his lips curled with amusement.

“We are,” the shade confirmed with her in a rich smoky voice. “I’m your older brother Atlas.”

The young Mintaka might have felt like the odd one out of her group, but that wasn’t entirely the case. The children of Hydra and Dirge had been diverse enough. There was a strong majority with dark cloaks and intense blue eyes, but Osiris shared many traits with their father. Altair did too, and he was from the same litter as the ashen girl. Those blue eyes could belong to no one else, he thought to himself.
