For anyone in SS Akita hasn't met yet ( @Ferdie Von Pelt @Erika @Vienna @Fang @Summer ). I didn't tag a couple of you cos you're still in TBD stage, or you're pups that are too young to leave the den still. But yeah. None of you whom I tagged should feel obligated to post. Only if you have time/want to! :D

Akita was happy, as usual. She was happy because Autumn was one of her favorite seasons and it was finally here! Of course... all the seasons were Akita's favorite... She was like that. But she loved them all the same amount for different reasons. She loved Autumn for the change in color the leaves took on; for the cooler weather; for the rainstorms; and for the spiritualness of the season. After all, Autumn was the time when the barrier between the Living and the Dead was the lowest and most vulnerable. And it was the time of festivals and scary stories, too. She'd have to get together with someone and exchange scary stories some time. Wouldn't that be fun?

At the moment, she was digging out her second healer's den. This one was far away from the Oasis in the territory. She needed this den to stay dry on the inside, which means she needed it to be away from all the water. This is where she would keep all the herbs that needed to be dried before being used. It didn't have to be very big, just big enough to store things in and to stick half of her body into. It wasn't meant to be slept in.

After a time, she grew a bit tired and paused in her digging to take a break, hoping, perhaps, that someone might come along to talk to...
Vienna could use a spaz-buddy! 8D

Vienna was out and about, darting around as usual. She had intended to make a trip to the meadow today where she had met Shadow, but as tended to happen, gotten extremely sidetracked and let half the day go by without leaving. She had come across a truly amazing anthill and had watched the little creatures industriously marching in lines for quite a while. Soon they would be gone, like much of the other life around here.

That was alright, though, Winter held it's own beauty in ice and snow and stillness. Besides that, creatures would begin to get their winter coats, rabbits and the like turning a startling and gorgeous white. It made hunting difficult in the snow but wow were they pretty. Vienna was a big fan of it.

These thoughts were racing through her mind as she, in turn, raced along. She wasn't sure where she was going, she mainly just ran for the joy of it. Who would choose to walk when they could run? As she flew by, though, she caught sight of a stranger sitting near a large pile of dirt. Skidding to a stop, she bounced over. "Hey! My name's Vienna. You are making a den? It looks super nice so far! What's your name?" She smiled happily at the other girl, loving that they got so many new members all the time. She loved meeting new people, especially packmates, for her shyness didn't seem to kick in as much around them.

After she finally got Alphonse and Serena to sleep, the mother exited her den. She shuddered slightly at the familiar chill of Autumn. So, the seasons were changing once again. The chill was warmer than that of her native Canadian home, but she was certain the winters would be cold. Cold enough to endanger her pups lives if she wasn't too careful.

After a few solitary moments, she spotted two wolves nearby a pile of dirt. What were they digging for? She approached them, greeted by the sight of two young females. There seemed to be a lot of girls in this pack, that, or she just hasn't met any males. "Bonjour mademoiselles."

Presently, along came a wolf who seemed just about as bouncy as Akita herself, and this made the white wolf happy. Of course, she was nearly always happy, but that was beside the point. Without missing a beat, the fae-wolf replied to all the questions and comments. "Hello, Vienna," she said brightly, wagging her tail. "My name is Akita. And yes, I am building a den. A Healer's den to be exact. And thank you, I think it's coming along nicely, too."

Just as she was thinking of saying something weird, which would be about right for Akita, another wolf came along. This one was also female, and had silky black fur. She also had a monstrous scar on her face, but Akita didn't care at all about that. She wasn't the type to gawk or gossip. Though she was the kind to ask awkward questions about scars, as all scars had stories behind them.

So, with no reserve whatsoever, she turned to the scarred she-wolf and asked, "What happened to your face? Not that I'm judging because you are gorgeous regardless. I'm just curious." Then she just sat and waited nonchalantly, as if she hadn't just dropped a bomb on poor Erika.
Akita was right on beat with her enthusiasm, answering every question she had asked with a brightness to her tone as well. Already Vienna counted them as great friends because of this, her tail wagging as she peeked into the den.

Before she could say any more on the subject, another walked into their meeting... the new mother, Erika. "Hello!" she greeted her, friendly as well. Unlike some she in no way resented the female's presence here. She did wish she was able to see the pups though. Ferdie's protectiveness rained on her parade a bit there.

Vienna had noticed the woman's scars when she first joined but would never in a thousand years ask about them. She might have enthusiasm and overexcitement but she also had tact. Apparently her new friend lacked in that department, not that Vienna would fault her for it. Only if her question upset Erika. Sometimes wolves didn't mind talking about such aspects of themselves though.

"How are the little ones?!" She added on the end, tactfully giving Erika a chance to ignore the former question if she so chose. A part of her hoped she wouldn't. Vienna was curious as well.

At first she was relaxed by the girls' bounciness. She tended to rub off from the atmosphere and this one was a good one. It's been a while since she had been delighted like this (besides playing with her twins). But the joy stopped when one of them asked about her scars. It had been a while since something like that occurred. And as always she was reluctant to tell. But she had grown beyond her condescending, aloof self.

"Acid, itz called. Acid was zhrown on my face be a 'uman, a strange creature zat stands on two legs and creates a variety of strange zings..." She said calmly, trying to block the memories that came back, damming it like one would dam a river. She swiftly changed the subject, replying to the other's question. "Zey are fine. Zey are developing zeir own little personalities now....Alphonse iz always trying to outdo his sister, Serena, while she sticks to me." She said, using the sweet memories to block out the bad.

@Erika perhaps we can finish this one up? ^^ don't want it to go dead if we can help it, though if you would rather have that happen I'm cool with it!

It sounded horrid, what had happened to her. Vienna's ears flattened at the thought, imagining what that must have felt like as well as what it must be like now to walk around with such a reminder literally written on your face.

She wasn't one to dwell on the negative, though, and took the happier tales of the pups gladly. They sounded so cute! She couldn't wait to meet the little ones. "They sound amazing," she said, imagining their cute little faces. "It must be wonderful, to have little ones like that." Vienna would never hold a high ranking, her own ambition next to nothing, so pups were not really in her future. But if she had the chance, she thought she would enjoy it. There didn't seem to be anything more rewarding than parenthood.
