For @Haruki and/or @Hotaru. Hunt training!

It had been some time since the arrival of the twin alabaster pups arrival to these lands. Simmik and Vallkyrie had been been tasked to the care of them, to make sure they were doing well off within the ranks. Savor Simmik and her scouting mission, the pair had done well so to look after the two siblings. However, as pups, they did little for the support of the pack as a whole. If they would be bringing in two more mouths to feed, Kyr could only hope with the turn of their age, they might do some good for the ranks throughout the coming winter. After all, with how dour they seemed, especially the boy, Kyr did not expect they would stay longer then they had to. Not wanting her pack's resources to go wasted, she hoped this day to put the pups to work.

She would work her way throughout the edges of the territory that morning, find the right opportunity for hunting and would call out to the two pups for their presence. She didn’t know if they would both come, or either for that matter, but waited until so hopefully. Out in a small clearing not far, was a prime foraging area for rabbits, other small rodents and deer alike. She would see if the pups would be interested in attempting a hunt. If anything, she could learn today what skills they were interested in and what they were not and, should they not want to stay here, they would at least learn something of how to survive on their own.
If he had knew beforehand that Vallkyrie was searching for he and his sister in order to put them to work, Haruki would have promptly run far off into the hills to avoid the manual labour. As it were, he was nearby when she put out the call, and no doubt his scent littered the area he was in, giving him little chance to escape without the adult knowing he had been close by.

With a scowl contorting his features, the ex-prince got up from his spot in a patch of sunlight on the edge of the forest. She was not far away at all, yet the boy purposefully dragged his feet as he headed towards the dark woman, hoping Hotaru would arrive ahead of him — he had to let the adult know the absolute depth of his resentment on being summoned.
He was a spoiled boy, that much was certain and the former prince showed it each step of the way as he dragged his feet towards her and into the open field. She had grown up amongst many like him, whom thought they could ease through life doing little to nothing because of some blood right. In Torbine, there was little room for such. Archer blood ruled supreme but even they knew the worth of hard work. This boy's Empire had fallen and if she had been able to do so easily, she would have tossed his fluffy white ass into Torbine in order to show him how a true Empire ran.

Icy eyes meeting hard on the adolescence, she flicked her tail upward high and cast her gaze outward if @Hotaru were near. Kyr thought she might be so yet began either way. Certainly the girl could listen in if so and perhaps put her brother into gear. If you are to help the pack prosper, or if you are to survive on your own, and with this, hinting that it was obvious he seemed unhappy here, Then you will need to learn some basic skills. Hunting small game to sustain yourself, how to defend your vitals in a fight, how to treat minor wounds... She turned her head, jutting her muzzle out into the direction of the fields before them. Today, we will hunt.
Hotaru was late to the call, though not because she detested it like her brother. No, she had been further away and the cut through her pad and arm only slowed her more with the stinging pain that came in each step. She had been lucky that Caerus was there to stop the bleeding, but even with his herbs it was impossible to remove the discomfort completely. Not until it had fully scabbed over and healed.

By the time the pale girl arrived she found that her brother had already beaten her to Vallkyrie's call who seemed to be starting with whatever reason it was that she brought them forward. Her gaze met Hotaru's own, though she would duck her head down only half avoiding the woman's gaze. She could feel the embarrassment rise to her cheeks at her lateness, but she would stay quiet as Vallkyrie explained further. She wanted them to hunt.

Part of Hotaru wanted to sigh, she wanted to know more about the forest or see if anyone here knew about the stars as her mom had, but in the end, those skills probably weren't too valuable...food would be important, there was no denying that, though Hotaru knew she wasn't a very skilled hunter. There hadn't been as much of an emphasis on it back in the vale, but then again food was often presented to them likely due to their blood.
