As the sun began to set into the west, the bright fiery colors flashing across the slowly darkening sky, a silver wolf stood on top of a hill just in front of the lake, staring out at the distant horizon. He supposed that it was easier that most of the wolves he'd recruited stayed near the Bypass. He wasn't going to wait for days just to finally claim the lands that rightfully belonged to him.

He turned around to look at the wolves he'd recruited, the lights of the sun making his pelt glow ethereal silver. His platinum gazed studied each of them thoughtfully, his quicksilver gaze traveled from Adair-the brown agouti male-to Farkas-the jet black warrior-to Raven-the strong-willed female. His eyes lingered over Tiberius, the roman soldier and Flash-the spirited youth before finally landing on Paarthurnax, where he lingered for a while before looking at all of them again. A faint wind blew across the top of the hill, ruffling his pelt and he exhaled softly. The gleam in his eyes slowly brightening, this had only been a dream for the sterling outrider but now, now it was become reality.

"Tonight," he said softly, making sure that they could all hear him. "We shall claim this land as ours." With that he turned around, facing the fiery sunset that flashed its colors across the darkening sky and tipped his head back to let loose a howl into the fading realm of Apollo. "It is time. The wolves of Noctisardor Bypass shall sing tonight and we claim this land as ours."

A summoning howl arose Adair from the light nap he had endulged himself into, and its origin was a bit north of his location. Rising swiftly to his massive fours, the wooded wolf traveled through the lands to the call. He had finally reached the clearing, where the rest of the recruited members sat and stood, awaiting word of Shadow. And then the new alpha cast a glance around, giving each their own, with gentle words.
"Tonight, We shall claim this land as ours."

Adair had never had the privilege of being a part of a claiming howl. This moment was very special to him, and touched his heart, truly and deeply.
At the start of Shadow's own howl, Adair sent up his own, the warm and deep tones of his voice into the sky, broadcasting his loyalty to the newfound family. Each note crested to the heaven, its melody a song to be remembered throughout the rest of his life.
When Shadow summoned the wolves of his little group to congregate, Paarthurnax went to him at once. She crooned softly to her beau upon her arrival at the chosen meeting area, greeting him affectionately with a bump of her snout to his chin, then retreated when others began to arrive.

She did not take a place at the ashen outrider's side, but instead lingered in the background. As they were not yet mated officially, it did not seem right to seek claim to the now available position of Alpha female. Paar wondered quietly if she might be expected to challenge the other she-wolves for breeding or leadership rights, in which case she would likely fade into the background. She was a gentle creature, and did not appear to have an aggressive bone in her body.

Shadow invited them to howl with him, and the elegant crimson healer tilted her muzzle skyward to raise her voice alongside those of her pack mates.

Flash smiled. Finally they have started! He raised his head but then hesitated. This would mark a new life. From the moment he started howling, his loyalty would belong to Noctisador Bypass, and Noctisador Bypass alone. He couldn't be the free wolf who roamed the lands helping others any more. With a shake of his head. He raised his voice and joined in the howling.

That moment, he knew all his bonds with the outsiders were gone. But at the moment, the harmony of the howling touched him. He heard peace and harmony in his pack-mates voice and knew that it would be worth it. This was the moment of his life which he was waiting for for so long. This was the moment, where he was finally part of a pack.

A summoning call awoke the yearling from his slumber and as he'd been taught, he ran immediately to the source where he joined the other gathered wolves. His new Praetor's bright sterling gaze traveled around and lingered upon him for a brief moment before moving on and speaking "Tonight, We shall claim this land as ours." The youthful agouti roman stood, his head raised proudly as his Alpha howled into the realm of both Apollo and Diana as he was sure the moon would be out soon.

His howl was loud and clear and traveled for miles, alerting all the creatures nearby that this land was now claimed land. The beauty, the serenity contributed largely to the harmony of the song that rose from the throats of the Bypass wolves. "We claim this land as ours, and it will remain with us forever."
The dark warrior trotted forward and settled down between his new packmates, sapphire blue gaze calm as he met his Alpha's sterling gaze when he looked at him. Why had he called them together? His question was answered a moment later when Shadow spoke softly "Tonight, We shall claim this land as ours.". A surge of pride and joy filled the black male at those words, and as Shadow began to howl he thought for a brief moment. The moment he added his voice to those of his packmates, his loyalty was bound to them and most importantly, his Alpha.

He tilted his head up into the darkening sky and added his soft melodic voice into the chorus of sounds that rose from the mouths of his fellow packmates. The song rang through the silent air and traveled around, this land would always be the land of the Bypass wolves. And he howled with pride.
@Adair The Forsaken @Paarthurnax @Tiberius @Farkas @Flash Round two will end on 20th September Saturday. Remember, there is no posting order! :)

They made it just as he knew they would. He felt a flicker of satisfaction run through him as he gazed at the wolves he'd gathered. He proved them all wrong and no matter how pathetic they thought he was, he had always been the better leader and he knew it. A bright genuine smile flashed across his face for a moment before vanishing, a rare moment in front of so many wolves and that showed how moving it actually felt to hear the voice of his allies ringing through across his land. It felt so good to have Paarthurnax by his side, knowing that she chose him over all of the Creek and he wouldn't disappoint her, he would make this pack work.

He had never doubted leaving the Creek, knowing that even if he was offered his position back, he would never leave what he had now to go back to following. He was a leader and always had been one and finally, the gods gave him what he deserved. Soon the song died, leaving the calm silence weave around them and the bright colors of the setting sun illuminating them. He swore on all the rivers of the underworld, the gods, Rome and his own life that he would do his best to lead Noctisardor Bypass.

He took a deep breath and gazed at the wolves he gathered, confidence and pride coursing through him as the bright lights of the sunset illuminating his pelt and a faint smile arrived on his face. "We've made it here and I am proud and honored to have you among my family." he spoke softly, his clear voice making sure everyone heard him. He looked at each of them calmly but not in a challenging manner but a respectful and proud one, not self pride but proud of them. His new family.

"Noctisardor Bypass shall flourish with your help. You, we are no longer loners finding a new life because our new life has been given to us and we must do our best to show we deserve it." he paused and a small smile graced his lips, something genuine and something that had not happened in a while. "I thank you, all of you for everything you've done for this pack and I hope that you will continue to help the pack flourish and build and I do not doubt that it won't be long before we shall be as strong or stronger than all the other packs here, in these wilds."

And it was the truth, he did not lie and that was truly what he thought. Soon, Noctisardor Bypass would be stronger than Swiftcurrent Creek would ever be. He said in a soft voice, one that only he, himself could hear. Gratias ago tibi, mi frater."

Slowly the beautiful melody faded into the early evening air and a faint smile crept up the dark warrior's lips, sapphire blue eyes glowing brightly as he turned to look at his new Alpha. "We've made it here and I am proud and honored to have you among my family." said Shadow in a soft and clear voice, looking at each of them in the eye, respect and pride evident in his sterling gaze. He was proud too, proud of himself and his new packmates around him, they were finally here, as one together, at the start of their new life. "Noctisardor Bypass shall flourish with your help. You, we are no longer loners finding a new life because our new life has been given to us and we must do our best to show we deserve it." the Praetor smiled, a real smile.

"I thank you, all of you for everything you've done for this pack and I hope that you will continue to help the pack flourish and build and I do not doubt that it won't be long before we shall be as strong or stronger than all the other packs here, in these wilds." Farkas nodded, pride gleaming in his sapphire gaze. He was sure that Noctisardor Bypass would flourish under Shadow's rule, for he had felt the aura of calm power and leadership hang around the young silver wolf.

Farkas dipped his head to Shadow, there were no words needed to be exchanged because his eyes spoke it all.

Flash smiled at his pack mates as their howls died down. I'm finally in a pack! He thought as he took his place with the wolves of the bypass. "We've made it here and I am proud and honored to have you among my family." Flash smiled at this. A new pack, a new life , a new start and a new family.

"Noctisardor Bypass shall flourish with your help. You, we are no longer loners finding a new life because our new life has been given to us and we must do our best to show we deserve it." Flash nodded at his alpha's wise words. "I thank you, all of you for everything you've done for this pack and I hope that you will continue to help the pack flourish and build and I do not doubt that it won't be long before we shall be as strong or stronger than all the other packs here, in these wilds." This was the mark of a new beginning for Flash. He... was part of a pack.

Their songs combined, announcing to all around them that a new pack had risen to claim the land on which they stood. As the howl faded across the vast territory, Paarthurnax gathered herself once more and looked around at wolves who were to be her new pack-mates, and her heart swelled with pride.

When she settled her vivid copper eyes on the tall, strong frame of her beloved, she managed a smile just for him whenever his gaze briefly found her own. Shadow spoke confidently to the group, thanking everyone for contributing to the growth of his brand new pack, and Paar dipped her lovely muzzle respectfully in response. "And we thank you," she said out loud, making to glance at her nearest pack-mate before seeing the attention of the sterling leader. "For finding this place and bringing us together."
The song slowly faded into the evening air, green eyes flickered between his new packmates before settling on his Praetor, Shadow as he made his speech. "I thank you, all of you for everything you've done for this pack and I hope that you will continue to help the pack flourish and build and I do not doubt that it won't be long before we shall be as strong or stronger than all the other packs here, in these wilds." A brief smile drifted across his lips at that, he too did not doubt that soon the Bypass would flourish and be as strong as any of the other packs in the wilds, if not stronger, for they were Romans now. He dipped his head in acknowledgement, however lifted his head as the crimson female spoke.

"And we thank you," she said. "For finding this place and bringing us together." At that a broad grin appeared on the yearling's face. "Yes, we thank you for bringing us to a new start, a new life, a new beginning." he said, green eyes drifting towards his new packmates.

He blinked at Paar for a brief moment before smiling, he turned to Tiberius as he spoke. "Yes, we thank you for bringing us to a new start, a new life, a new beginning.". Smiling faintly at the roman yearling, he said "And may the gods bless us and these lands." dipping his head slightly as he spoke.

His gaze flickered over his new subordinates before speaking again "Its time for us to rest, duties begin tomorrow and we don't want you sleeping until sunhigh do we?" he grinned and began trotting away towards the direction of the forest after nudging Paarthurnax affectionately.

Soon he knew the Bypass would be teeming with loyal members, they would be stronger than Swiftcurrent Creek with the protection and blessing of the gods for it was true. It would only grow stronger and stronger.

With the meeting concluded, Paarthurnax rose to her nimble paws. She kept her gaze focused on Shadow, who approached her to nudge his muzzle against her cheek briefly, and continued to follow him with her copper stare as he retreated into the woodland.

She turned back to her pack-mates then, a faint smoke brightening her sharp alabaster features, and dropped her head in a silent farewell. Paarthurnax jogged away from the scene, her tail swishing contently at her rear as she followed her sterling leader's trail into the forest with the intent of catching up to him.
His new Praetor dismissed him and the rest of them, stopping near the crimson female to touch his nose briefly to her cheek before leaping away towards the direction of the forest. He smiled briefly, bright blue eyes scanning the last bits of the sun that lingered across the darkening sky before glancing around at his packmates and turning to walk to the direction of the open meadows where he had dug a burrow.

It was the start of a new life, a new day and a new beginning. And he, Farkas would treasure every moment of it because it was rare he had ever felt such loyalty towards anyone before but this youthful Roman and sought them out and brought them together and now thanked them. Really, they should fall onto their bellies and thank him instead for working so hard.

Tiredness dominated the dark male and after finding his sleeping spot, he closed his eyes.

As the ceremony finished, Flash sent a friendly smile towards everybody. He made note that the black wolf and the crimson wolf has already left. He then briefly touched everybody's shoulder with his muzzle then muttered a quick goodbye, he leap opposite of where his alpha had gone and into a forest. Quickly find a good spot at the roots of a great oak , he settled down.

Just as he was about to close his eyes, he saw a small red spot in the future. Enhanced, he stood up. Above the horizon, the sun was rising. He smiled, This day marks my firs in a pack. He thought as he curled up and almost immediately feel into a well deserved rest. Somewhere in the distance, he knew the sun was rising and that when he opened his eyes, the sun would bring new surprises to him.

He smiled briefly and dipped his head to his Praetor, noticing the small show of affection he gave the crimson female before leaving towards the forest with the female by his heels. A faint smile drifted across his tawny features, mint green eyes glowing brightly underneath the darkening sky. Turning to the other yearling that brushed his shoulder, he nudged him back in a friendly manner before he too turned and made his way towards the central meadow where the wildflowers roamed free. He found a large tree in the distance and made his way towards it, the start of the forest.

Curling up at the base of the tree, he smiled, noticing a bright streak of red fire across the sky. Mars. His patron god was looking out for him, for no matter where he went, he would always be a Roman. A son of Mars. And tomorrow would be the beginning of a new life, a new destiny, a new start.
