Can wild fauna obtain trades like wolves do? Ex: can Evanora get a botanist trade added to her profile if she gets enough threads?
Unfortunately no, last I checked. *waits for CM confirmation*
I'm pretty sure they can't either. However, I think they should get trades, I don't see why not and I think WF would be more involved in the game if they could.

I'd love to see more integration of WF, especially an ability to earn trades. I think it would make them way more fun.
it would be nice but i can see how they can just be 'used' for main toons for trades - which is understandable. However for toons with masteries, it might be problematic against certain wild fauna especially with mercenary masteries - since in reality 1 wolf cannot defeat a bear or a cougar for example no matter how "good" they are fighting.

But thats just an example, i would just love to see my coyote with some botany and maybe religious icons LOL its just a convo is all, didn't see the question floating around so i asked away
No, Wild Fauna cannot recieve trades.

I did a quick skim of the guidebook and I might've missed it but didn't see this written in there, otherwise I would've linked, but the reasoning behind this is that WOLF is meant to be a game focused on wolves. This is why wolf characters recieve extra perks like trades; it helps us maintain a proper balance for the site since WF are meant to be fun opportunities for predator or prey, but not the centerpoint of the game. For the same reason, we require one wolf character to be created before a player brings any Wild Fauna into the game. If WF had just as many opportunities as wolves (joining groups, recieving trades,) they would probably be just as common if not more so! I hope this helps, and remember that you can always unofficially earn trades (without the icons) by tracking your threads : )
I thought trades were supposed to be an OOC perk. It seems strange to handicap integration and fun of WF. I can't see there being much issue with an overpopulation of WF characters - I've never seen that problem on other wolf rpg sites unless it was planned for (like the dog influx that happened a while back). Most people just start writing one and then get bored.
