Said 'little wolf' was too busy gorging down on a freshly caught hare to notice the brute's approach straight away -- until the grumbling sound gave away their presence. Her bright gaze quickly trailed up to see the noise source and widened at the sight of a bearish man who stood a few feet away.
At first, her expression was that of suprise and fear -- which would be anyone's reaction when thinking they've ran into an angry grizzly -- but after blinking a few times and sniffing the air, Luna was soon to confirm that this was actually a wolf. Godamn, first Aliana and now this guy. Those are some insane genetics, let me tell you....
In an attempt to figure out what the issue was, the huntress' gaze akwardly shifted from Baron and towards, well, everything around her, so she could find out why he looked so...upset? Eventually her attention fell towards the kill between her paws that led to one possible assumption. Oh okay, that made sense. It was winter afterall, and the competition for any available food was making everyone miserable. Of course, Luna wasn't going to give away her hare to the large man, but...."Well there's no need to make that face, I'm willing to share if you want." She wasn't completely stingy about it.
"Whaaaat? Hare's not your taste?" She drawled in an exaggerated fashion. Of course it wasn't -- a large wolf like himself wasn't gonna be satiated by a half eaten hare, though it was certainly worth a try asking. Oh well, back to her almost frozen meal then.
The ebony woman watched as he approached nonchalantly, walking past to leap on the snowy out cropping to make himself comfortable. Oh, so he just wanted to rest. Well he could've told her that -- now she just felt silly trying to give a bear a chewed-up lagamorph. More importantly, did he actually plan on just drifting off right away? Interesting..."Sleeping are we? I never heard of a wolf sleeping around a stranger before, aren't you afraid I might snuff you while you snore?" The raven noted flatly while turning back to pick at the hare's hide, an amused smile plastered on her dark features. Lunaria didn't actually plan on causing him harm, but it made for a fun jab.
A few minutes into gnawing on her meal and the huntress would realize trying to eat meat before it froze was pointless -- thanks alot winter. No matter though, she can always thaw it out back at the glen. Now bored (and admittedly a little hungry), her moonstone gaze turned back to the sleepy bear-wolf who lied upon the outcropping. "Well then, mister 'I trick people into thinking I'm a bear then drift to sleep on a rock.', I don't suppose you have a name, do you?"
Luna had to admit, Baron's defensive guard gave her the 'fight or flight' adrenaline used to decide what the situation was -- 'Well, do we run now, or do we stay?' whispered every cell in her body -- wasn't long before an answer was given though. The bear did not prowl down to attack the moon nymph, rather, he simply lounged to his side and invited her to take a bite out of him; not really, but to make a point that he was still on his guard. Luna stared at the bearish man for a few before snorting to herself, raising a paw to her lips as if to keep in the full-blown laughter. "Don't tempt me now! The meatier ones make for the best meal during the winter." The raven joked in-between the soft snickering.
Eventually, her noise calmed and she turned back to the dark man with a sort-of "after-smile". "Unfortunately, I don't really see myself cannibalizing someone 3 times larger than me, tried it with an elk stag a while ago -- almost died." Still could've made a good meal if there were others to hunt with her, but she wasn't here to yabber on about her foolish yearling days. "Still, I probably had a little too much fun messing with you there. Sorry if I actually made you feel threatened or something..."
A sigh escapes her lips, and soon her attention was back on the frozen hare in front of her. Though Luna didn't bother trying to gnaw on it like before -- instead, she pawed at it lazily, while her head rested on the other paw which lied in the snow. "I'm ashamed to say that mother didn't have a very lenient daughter -- talking to strangers has become a bit of a habit of mine. It's probably why I get into a lot of deep, err, shit -- but at this point in my life, I kinda enjoy testing if the said stranger will let me speak or chase me away. A little game of mine, you may call it...."
Her attention turned back to the ursine male with a tilted head and quirked grin. "Baron -- I guess if your not running me out for the time being, then I might as well start up a conversation. You can call me Lunaria."
