ramesses cut inland today. he was bored, and searched for diversion in the unknown scents that tangled south of the plateau. to its warmth he would return, but for now, pharaoh threw off the airs of a pack wolf.
he prowled through bars of shadow and light, climbing stone ledges until he found himself just above a sparkling lake bordered by thick emerald forest. down into these he dropped, ears upward as his keen eyes searched for movement.
