AW, botanist #8 (plant identification: chervile vs. hemlock)

Lótë hadn't wandered far into the gloomy, foggy depths of the forest when she began to feel uneasy -- anxiously wondering whether she might get turned around in the silver mists clinging to the trunks of the thin, staggered trees and the thick ferns crowding them. But she was determined not to head back without at least getting a good idea of the forest's ecosystem, maybe find some kind of plant to add to her growing collection at home in the garden. She made sure to keep moving in a rigidly straight line, that way hopefully she could just turn all the way around and head straight back home.

An opportunity presented itself before too long, in the form of a tall plant -- its skinny stalks topped by numerous blooms of tiny white flowers. The herdstalker slowed, sniffing at the plant but not yet daring to touch it -- for it looked rather like poisonous hemlock though Lótë was more accustomed to seeing that plant near water. This plant in particular was streaked with a purplish-red so perhaps it was just a look-alike cousin of its deadly relative but Lótë wasn't exactly a healer and couldn't be sure.
