It was a fair afternoon, brother sun just reaching his zenith as he darted amongst the cloud cover, when Lótë set out from the Spine to explore the surrounding territories a little more thoroughly -- intent on understanding not only the ecosystem of the land their village claimed but the region they lived in in its entirety. She wound up setting a path for the northwest, though she bypassed the melting Glacier they called Moonsong on her way.
It was the unfamiliar range of Silvertip that called to the birdwatcher this time, leading her up the footpaths and into the cave of clear quartz -- a gasp escaping her as she watched the fractured sunbeams bounce and send rainbows dancing along the walls. After admiring the sight for a few more heartbeats, the herdstalker paced further into the cavern in search of any kind of wildlife that might call the caves home -- ears raised and lips parted so as to smell better, just in case a predator of sorts was slumbering in the depths of the cave.
