Takes place during the Teekon Games, I'm thinking in between the kickoff and the first event.

After Blair's welcome song concluded, Ruenna thought she would use some of her downtime to get to know some of the competitors. She wandered over to the first person to catch her eye, and it was likely he'd caught it because he was just so gigantic. His size might have intimidated her in her younger days, but her transformation into a little old lady with a limp had emboldened her, because who would stoop to harming such a creature as her?

"Hey there," she chirped to @Calcifer, with a good-natured wag of her tail. "I just wanted to wish you good luck." It would be painfully clear from her heavy limp that Rue was here a a spectator, rather than as an athlete. "My name is Ruenna Redfern. I'm from Redhawk Caldera... the only one, I'm afraid. We weren't able to spare an athlete to come compete."

Wispy little Rue would probably appear fairly comical beside the hulking figure of Calcifer.
Thanks for the thread. Sorry for the late join

Blair had finished his song and despite closing his muzzle Calcifer felt as though he could still hear it traveling in the air. It was perhaps the first time Calcifer had heard anyone sing or perform. It was similar to howling but was unique in its own way.

Then a thin cream colored female approached him and broke him out of his trance. She introduced herself and stated her origin. Ruenna seemed quite friendly and so Calcifer greeted her with a large smile. "Hello Ma'am. It's nice to meet you. My name is Calcifer. I'm from... well. I'm formerly from Rivenwood. Set off on my own for the first time a little while ago. I heard the echoing howls and decided to come join the spectacle. I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the Redhawk Caldera. I'm sure you're a great representation of their candor." he complimented.
As large as he was, there was something about his voice and manner that hinted at youth. Perhaps it was the near over-politeness which seemed trained into him, or the use of the honorific "ma'am."

Rue smiled as well. She was impressed by how quickly he had come up with a way to compliment her, despite her physical limitations, which had likely been the first thing to catch his eye. He would make a good ambassador. No doubt Rivenwood was sad to lose him.

"As I'm sure Rivenwood will be well-represented by your strength and athleticism," she returned. She might have said more, but she was interrupted by a howl from their gamesmaster. All heads turned toward the center of the quarry, where the first game was beginning.

"Good luck," Ruenna whispered to Calcifer with a parting nod. She then moved off to arrange herself in a position more advantageous to viewing the game which was about to commence.

Edited a conclusion, since Calcifer is inactive.
