a sense of home over comes kjalarr as he trudges into the territory of his birth. an old birthright; one he had been set on reclaiming as a boy. he is a man now, well into his sixth year — going on seven. he feels age in the soft ache of his spine; prevalent on the colder mornings. but he is still full of life, full of fight and desires lain to rest; ressurected.

the morning is overcast; the roil of the sea dark and brewing like a volva's cauldron; or the upheaval of a slumbering jormungandr.

home.

the bay is free to be claimed and this time, kjalarr does not intend to sit idle.

Continuing Arashi's search for recruits. Given that this thread happened to be where it was, I figured the two could have a run-in, with it being on his way down the coast.

He'd come this far now. The shred along the coast was almost at an end. Thus, he would soon be forced to turn back and return to the sound.

What a successful mission this had become. Not.

Arashi had a sense of scorning failure within him — one he never thought he would ever feel. Why was it that he held such an intense desire to return this prize to Fury? What had she done to earn this? By spewing blank promises, yet to have been filled? No.. it was something else. A string of profound loyalty. The woman had never forced anything upon him, nor treated him in a way he resented. She had been more amiable than anything else.

So what if he went back empty handed? Maybe he was thinking about this all wrong. Maybe he need not find them, but they find the claim by their own will and choose to join. Was that it?
