Often Lele wondered, whether a pack life was truly a thing for her. Even months after joining Brecheliant with the kindest of wolves around she still struggled to connect with them. There had been far more awkward encounters than those she had truly enjoyed. It was not that she did not try to be better - meeting people and bonding with them was an art that could be mastered, if... and this two letter-word held more weight than the rest of the sentence. IF there was an inner motivation to do so. Where it concerned her, she did not know. On one side she knew it had to be done, socializing was something all people did, and it was her only chance of having a family one day. On the other hand she faced this huge, unexplored mass of uncertain future, if she decided not to stick with the rituals and traditions of the wolf kin.

There was a lot for her to figure out and her father had used to say that there are some thoughts that need to be thought more about and thought out through. And the best way to do it was by walking, walking far and long. Perhaps, it was not wise to leave the claimed territory in the middle of winter, but after those first few miles Lele began to feel better than she had for weeks. Being on the move was something old and familiar. It meant freedom, whereas staying in one area had made her feel trapped.
