It had been one full Moon's turning since the last Aiolos had been to the bay. He came quietly, to seek the Sea Goddess presence once more. He believed the sea would sooth his worried spirit as it had time and time before. With his eldest (and disabled) daughter now gone to live among a different island from here, his heart was heavy. His children were growing quickly and more were on the way. He needed his wit and strength about him.

Descending upon the emerald green grasses, the bay stretched out before his view. Though as he drew nearer, the scent of another's claim became obviously so. Aiolos stops, investigating the new markers. It had been some time since one had tried to lay claim on the Bay- the last had failed, too.

His head rises high, looking over the land, ears swivel, wondering if this new group was near.
a figure was in the distance, unfamiliar, his scent also unknown to the northman. pleased, kjalarr noted that he was respecting the borders that he and those who had pledged to his budding village had established and re-enforced. he approaches as quick as the soft ache in his scarred, marked hind leg would allow.

when he is close enough, kjalarr lets out a low chuff.

i am kjalarr, he introduces. konnungar of the bay. it felt strange, in a satisfying sort of way, to give himself that title. how may i help you, stranger? he inquires.
To him comes a rather large wolf, tall and made up of more heavily built muscle then himself. A scarred man to behold, carrying the remains of battle over his muzzle and eye- one eye which happened to look blinded. Despite his war-worn features, he is not unfriendly as he welcomes Aiolos to the bay. The Greek did not understand what konnungar meant- no matter, he would be treated pleasantly either way, seeing as the wolf was being pleasant to him.

Aiolos Nuiruk of Moonglow. I am Sunman there, A strange title to take for an outsider, It's Leader. He added for explanations sake should he get the raised brow he had be given a time or two before. I visit the Sea as often I can. My quickest trail leads me to this bay... He pauses, looking over the bay and then back to him. Though I see now it is off limits.
though kjalarr supposes he should offer a translation of the title, he feels it might take away and so, for better or worse, does not. if he offered a translation then why not just give them common names? or so this is his reasoning. his posture, he trusts, speaks for itself. he gives a firm nod as the other introduces himself as aiolos of moonglow; titled: sunman. it was an interesting title, though giving it the co-title of 'leader' does not exactly make it make sense to kjalarr he does not ask. it is likely no stranger than his.

a soft twitch of kjalarr's lips is given. i am not familiar with your moonglow's location, kjalarr admits. but perhaps i can offer an alternative place for you to visit to the sea? i was born here and i am very familiar with this coast.
Hearing that the other wolf had been born here peaks Aiolos interest and it is shown in the perking of his ears. He wonders how long the man might have called this place home before he had left then, likely to explore lands beyond before settling down.

That way. Aiolos spoke. If the man had been born here then surely he would know the place upon explanation. Past the pasture and fields inland, you will come to a ring of short mountains. It is the Ouroboros Spine, this is the home of Moonglow's wolves.

If you tell me where would be acceptable, I should know of it. I was not born here but I do know the lands well. The island, He points out to the northeast, Was home to me for well over a year. I also stayed on the plateau to the west for some time. I could visit by route there instead? As you may be using the sea lion shores as your hunting grounds?
since it's been a month since this has been replied to, i went ahead and edited in a conclusion for archival.

the spine.

home to several different packs over the years, but none of which kjalarr could recall as ...recent. that he is a bit of a living library to historical events that have rocked the teekon wilds over his ( almost ) 7 years of life was a bit humbling.

the gilded bay, as to my knowledge, is still neutral. he gestures west in it's direction. or the shores, if you believe that to be quicker. trying to recall how far each was from the spine was impossible having been so long since he'd done either. if i had to wager i'd say they are relatively close in how miles from the spine.

but, he could be wrong.

though i do not entirely rule out the shores as hunting grounds i am more interested in the sentinels. kjalarr admits, gesturing in it's direction with a soft sweep of his muzzle. if that should change, i will let you know. either way, so long as the moonspear wolves did not encroach upon his hunting grounds — for competition for food was not something he was fond of — he saw no reason to chase aiolos from taking his trips to the shore(s).

he speaks with the man from moonsong a bit longer before the two parted ways.
