Fury was sleeping rather soundly, for once in a very, very long time.
Dreaming of the great empire she wished to raise from the ashes, of succeeding in that wish, that ambition.
Eradicating their enemies, taking over the Teekons one piece at a time...
Until the pains in her stomach woke her up.
Fury woke with little chance to adjust to the waking world, instinctively moving into a better position to give birth to her young.
The scent of labor and eventual birth flooded the Strath for miles...
A series of pained whines and groans escaped her lips as the Warchief panted, gritting her teeth to stifle any agonized screaming.
No screams, she was stronger than that.
The pups weren't here just yet, but they were definitely coming.
Kyn had been sleeping in his old den with Simmik of course when he stirs for some odd reason. Something just feels weird. As he’s gotten older theses things happen a lot. Where his sixth sense would convince him a wake and make him walk around to check on everything. It started when Alduin got eaten in his sleep by god damn Sasha.
Still, the point stands. He moves out of the den. Merely just walking. He walks for sometime until he smells blood and another familiar smell he can’t quite put his finger on. Either way, he knows he smells blood, to he sticks his snout in the air to investigate.
He follows it and eventually he’s finding Fury. His heart drops when he realizes what’s happening and he rushes over to her. Moving in close uncaring if she snaps at him.
“Fury, fuck, why didn’t you call? Are you okay, darling? The pups are coming?” He asks obviously. Standing beside her and trying to be a comforting presence even if she hates him for leaving.
Fury startled slightly as Kynareth arrived, drawing near with that same nervousness and worry he had when she had given birth last year.
Arashi soon followed, and was clearly protective. His hostile reach for the former Grandmaster didn't go unnoticed, even as Fury whimpered while another wave of pain rippled down her abdomen.
"It's okay, Arashi. He can stay." She assured through pained breaths. They had no medic to help her through this time, so this birth was to be entirely raw.
Fury looked between the men sharing her space with her, trying to control her breathing.
She needed their support, almost now more than ever, it felt like. Even if that wasn't the reality.
puppies will likely arrive my next post! <3
Kyn sits beside her in an attempt to comfort her. This is where he would remain until she snaps or urges him away. Though, it’s clearly not going to be Fury to be the one to do so.
Her right hand man is quick to make himself present as well and Kynareth watches him steadily as he approaches, breathing as if he ran a mile to get here. Perhaps he did. Perhaps he realizes his Fury was going into labor just as Kyn did and rushed to her side.
His eyes immediately land on the brindled brute and Kyn recognizes the look anywhere. He’s old and experienced, he knows that the other doesn’t want him there. But for once, if only for Fury, Kyn tries to be a bigger man and not be an ass. Which clearly get him nowhere for the other male is rumbling out a growl and daring to snatch at his scruff in an attempt to get him away from the pale woman.
The second his jaws reach for him Kynareth’s eyes shift into those of the devil himself. He shouldn’t be doing this here and now, especially with Fury literally giving birth but he will not be letting this stranger push him around.
So he snaps back, lip curled up menacingly. Despite Fury’s words ringing out in his ears that Kyn can stay, he would snap back at Arashi. Going for his face, if he hits his mark it would be a quick, warning drawing of blood. If he doesn’t his teeth would make an audible snapping sound right before him.
“Watch yourself, funny guy.” Kyn growls low. “Know your audience and simmer down. I’m here for her just like you are.” He practically spits the words.
He has no time for disrespect in his old age and he has no problem taking their scrabble out back to settle it like real men.
Fury groaned loudly in pain, whining with stress as the men in the room bared teeth and threw warnings at each other.
"Enough. Now isn't the time!" She hissed at them both through the agony of labor.
With an instinctive push, the first of her litter slid out.
A pure white, pudgy little girl.
Sovereign.
Quickly and yet carefully, the Empress brought her first born to her teats and laid back again to continue the process.
Three more came out in their own time, one black as void -
@Credence, one fiery red -
@Panacea...Fury's vision started tunneling as she tried to discern
@Elias, and thus didn't register his coat color when she brought him to her belly.
After a time, all four newborns were finally nestled to her massive form. She looked upon them all, exhausted and loving.
Her tired gaze went to Arashi and Kynareth.
She smiled with evident gratitude.
With a heavy sigh, Fury then went limp, her great head hitting the earth with a dull thud.
she's not dead! Though I considered it lmao her body has just temporarily given out from exhaustion :> I will make a new thread soon, feel free to continue without Fury for the remainder of this one though!
Kyn sneers easily as the other male tells him exactly why he doesn’t like him. And can Kyn truly blame him for that? No, but still Kyn has an automatic bond to these lands, the Saints, and Fury. They all have a long, complicated history with one another — especially Kynareth having been the one to start the Saints in very beginning. Still, it is also his fault he left — something he realized he shouldn’t have done now, but what’s been done has been done.
Either way he’s about to snap back at the agouti male, but Fury is quick to berate them both — as she should. Poor woman has two angry men sitting over her and arguing while she’s going through fucking childbirth. So Kyn huffs and looks away from Arashi in an attempt to be the bigger man and help Fury with whatever she needs
Eventually her pups are born and Kyn looks at all of them with surprise. They’re all different colors! Such a lucky litter too and it makes Kyn wonder who the father is. But then again, he almost still thinks it’s the man who hangs on Fury’s flank. He would be a good guess, but she said she killed the father. Oh well, it doesn’t matter.
Eventually when she passes out Kyn would go get
@Simmik and ask what they could do for her. For Kyn doesn’t know shit about medical work.
