The participants have indicated the following reason(s) for this warning: mild gore

forward dated to the 3/20.

The weir was massive, and would provide the Dominion with plenty of food, and not just fish. At the moment, however, the Cruor Queen was fishing - her orange eyes bored into the hole in the ice, awaiting movement. The snow was melting, but the weir was still mostly frozen. After several minutes, there was a glitter of scales in the sun, and she lunged forward; a large salmon flopped in her jaws, but she crunched it in her mouth until it quit moving, blood dripping from her muzzle. She moved away from the bank, setting down her kill, and she tore into it ravenously. There might even be enough for Vivaan.
Kevalin had found himself deep within the forest when he scented other wolves. Curiosity getting the better of him he drew himself closer and watched from a safe distance as a wolf tore ravenously into a kill. Moving towards the body of water, he went to take a drink before introducing himself. "Name's Kevalin, just a wanderer, smelled other wolves so I was curious and wanted to say hi."
Technically, Vex owned the water as much as she owned the land, and she was already in a bad mood; the scent of the mountain wolves lingered in the area, but she was hesitant to confront them - now that she was here, she was hoping they would leave it alone. She was protective of her hunting grounds. As she dropped her meal, she looked to the male, hackles rising stiffly. When she spoke, her tone was cool. "These are the hunting grounds of the Dominion. However, we are new to the area, so I will assume you didn't know." She exhaled through her nose, then jerked her head to the forest. "We claim the forest south of here, but the weir and the creek to the southwest are our hunting grounds." Then, "I am Queen of the Dominion, Vex Cruor."
He took a moment to look over their surroundings. The forest was massive and went as far as he could see. The weir would supply plenty of fresh water and fish, as he knew. It was a rather wise place to claim. He turned back to the wolf he had attempted to introduce himself to.

It was then that Kevalin acknowledged her words. He immediately spluttered and snorted out a laugh, he just couldn't stop himself. Did she really just call herself Queen? He couldn't keep the sarcasm from his tone when he responded. "My apologies, your heinous. If I had known I was in the presence of royalty.." He stopped here when another snort came. He attempted to compose himself, hoping this misstep wouldn't earn him a scar.
Vex's eyes narrowed and a loud snarl ripped from her muzzle. She approached the male, hackles raised and tail arched high over her back. "You will show me some respect, or you will leave here without your tongue." Her fiery gaze burned into his, and her lips curled back, exposing two-inch-long canines. "Apologize or flee."
Kevalin had never been one to back down when challenged. While he knew it was unwise to continue to provoke the female further, especially given that she likely had backup not far, he couldn't stop himself.

He stood tall and stared the female directly in the eyes, neither speaking nor fleeing. He gave her a wink.
Karma, let us go for just a couple of rounds, to give Vivaan time to get here ;) <3

Vex did not falter. She called for @Vivaan, snarling into the heavens, "We must secure our hunting grounds - a trespasser challenges your Queen!" Then, she looked to the male again. She gave him a savage smirk. "I hope you like pain!" she hissed. She would rush him - it did not matter that he was larger than her - she was Cruor royalty, she was bred and trained for battle, and she relished the taste of blood; pain was nothing to her. She craved it. She would go straight for his throat, aiming to sink her teeth into his flesh, to show him what it meant to disrespect Vex Cruor.
Kevalin sighed and spat on the ground when she called for more wolves. He had no clue how many would come. "Actually, I quite like pain, have you tried-" His sarcastic remark was cutoff when she rushed forward, teeth sunk into his throat, and he knew she had tasted blood.

He kicked, trying to break her jaw's grasp on her throat, and with any luck, cause some damage.
The sweet taste of crimson blood filled her jaws, but she did not release him gently as he kicked out. Instead, she tore her jaws from his flesh - with any luck, that would scar. With her thick pelt, his kick had done very little to damage her. She then backed up, circling him, tail lashing behind her as she cried imperiously, "What say you now, intruder? Have you learnt respect, or must I teach you some more?"
Karma, you're free to post now!
Blood oozed from the wound the female had made. Kevalin scrambled to his feet. He laughed whole heartedly. He steadily approached the female and stared her down. "Respect, what's that?" With that, he spat on her feet and ran.
She had had enough of him - she would have let him flee, had he kept his mouth shut. But no, the Cruor Queen rushed after him, and her jaws clamped down around his ankle. She didn't have enough purchase to truly injure him, but she had slowed him down; assuming Vivaan was on his way, she would ensure this brute got what he deserved.

Since he'd last been dismissed, Vivaan was intent upon guarding their land well. Only moments ago, it was discovered that a poor attempt had been made of this attempt.

Already, an outsider had slipped past the queensguard' nose.

Vex called for him abruptly, a voice of rage and sheer lust for blood.

Even with a hefty pace, it took a time before he came to view. Though, once he had, it was in the perfect time to hear.. "Respect, what's that?"

These words sent Vivaan into a flurry of his own flame. No one would speak in such a way to his queen.

Rushing forward with hungry teeth, Vivaan pushed to reach the outsider just as Vex took hold of his limb. The throat would be his ultimate target, assuming that the queen's grip would slow his retreat. Whether he would stay or go, this boy would not leave this altercation without a lesson learned.
As fast as he thought he was, the female caught up to him quickly, her teeth grazed his ankle just as a massive wolf rushed him from his side. Jaws were quickly clamped around his throat. He was captured. Well, this is a first. Kevalin thought to himself. He stood very still, not daring to make any further move.
Vex's point was made. She released the male, spitting his own blood back at him so it would spatter against his pelt. "Drag him to the edge of the weir, and see to it that he leaves." Her eyes, burning with anger and victory, sought the trespasser's. "Show your face around here again, and I'll have your hide skinned for my den. And be glad you're leaving with your limbs and senses intact." The Queen would then look to her Queensguard, giving him a nod. Blood tripped from her muzzle and chest, but none of it was her own.

With a deep-set grunt, followed by a cold snarl, Vivaan jerked against the grasp he held.

Move. The gesture demanded.

He was intent upon being rid of the stranger as soon as possible.

If they did not move, a further lesson would clearly need be given. As for the meantime, Vivaan's grip would not be released. Vex had said to drag them out, after all. So why deter from the specificity of the order?
Kevalin considered causing his new friend problems, but decided he'd had enough fun for the day. "Quite a brute yourself, no wonder she keeps you around." Kevalin could only think, as his legs scrambled along the forest floor. The pace the wolf kept was quite a challenge after his crushing defeat. He snorted at the pure ridiculousness of the situation.

He would leave, of course. He would say no more to the pair. He had a new story to tell though, and he hoped those who listened would laugh as much as he when they hear of the one who calls herself Queen.
Finally, he left; Vex did not look away until he was out of her sight. Then, she looked to Vivaan. "If he comes back again, take him prisoner." The Gods knew they could use more bodies. Then, she would turn to lead the pair back into the forest.
With pleasure, The gargantuan beast snarled, eyes following the trespasser's departure with a fiery stare.

Once sure they would not be returning for any ounce of vengeance, Vivaan turned at his heel and followed quickly after Vex.
