maybe a tarot / bone reading thread? i haven't done a new one in a while.

ingram awakes to a cool morning and a fine mist that lays over the islands — like a fog that seeps into his bones. a soft shiver slithers down his spine as he gathers his reading bones into the rabbit pelt and carries them betwixt his jaws to his favored spot to do a reading: a large flat stone, smoothed by the years spent being drifted across the ocean floor to where it washed up on the shore.

in this weather, he can hear the wanlida's voice the strongest: his tether to the commanders of the past stronger with the full moon. he sets the pelt down, nudging it open; seaglass gaze focused on the dried bones.
though circumstance cleaved the listener to her duties, seldom allowing her time to indulge in luxuries such as exploring the hobbies of her druids, she had not failed to note ingram's practice of reading bones. that he had taken it upon himself to learn the trade boded well. he was a true druid, a follower of the old ways though they were all still young and ignorant and forced to grope in the dark for obliging spirits to return these traditions to the land of the living.

tell me what you see, the prophet beckoned as she swept to his side, allowing distance between herself and ingram's treasured bones out of respect. her keeper had always been possessive. they were one, him bound to her orbit forever, and all that was his would always be hers as well, but some things she allowed him to keep for himself though it was not the way of things. her keeper would perhaps always be her true weakness, her true curse.

i thought it would be nice to write one more thread together before their big drama <33

ingram gives trikova a cursory glimpse, the lure of the bones pulling his gaze back to them. he zones out as he focuses upon them, reading their placements. when she inquires as to what he sees, a soft twitch of his ear is given. the bones of fortune, so many things could be taken from them. he motions towards one of praimfaya's rib bones. it speaks loudly of change and... a fate inevitable. but whether that was good or bad was yet unknown.

the pair talk for a bit longer, with ingram pouring over the bones before he tucks them away into a safe hiding place.
