vague on when this is happening, she'd try to find him after regardless of how that thread ends <3

Bridget had tried to follow after Caracal when he ran, but there was no feasible way for her to catch up. She figured that he likely went home and recalled the vague directions he'd given her, but she didn't follow up just yet.

With a little time to cool off, she was glad she hadn't made more of a scene, though the events still stung. Who was Reyes to treat her like that? Well... he was Sorana's father. The real question was, who did Bridget think she was in all of this? If she admitted it to herself, maybe she was having a harder time than she was willing to accept, knowing she wasn't Teya's primary support anymore.

You really are an idiot, you know that? She thought, sighing and sitting down by the edge of the lake. The sun was starting to set and the water carried the reflections of red to the edges as she watched it sink lower. 'Auntie' or no, you have to stop trying so hard. Apparently that was going to be easier said than done.

She owed Teya an apology, at least. Reyes she wasn't quite ready for, though she knew her dislike was uncharitable. She'd get over it eventually but, for now, the lack of trust still had her feelings up. Eventually she'd go back and do what she needed to do but, for now, she was going to let it rest and chill here for a while longer. At least until the sun disappeared completely, and maybe even until the moon made an appearance. She could follow up after she'd had a little more time to get her head on straight.
