Set directly after this thread. @Acheron, @Castor

Keyni guided Acheron in a west direction, away from the berry rich meadow in which they met. Along the way she shared with him basic details about their forming group. Location, numbers and structure. She had not yet disclosed more, such as what Winterglade would stand for. She reasoned, if he was interested enough, he would ask himself. Like she had stated earlier, she was not putting any pressure on anyone. A quick look around and a sniff couldn't hurt.

They would get to that. But first, it was time to stop at a halfway point. Which was because of the terrible timing of her body. The summer sun felt strong. Stronger than usual, making her coat feel heavy and thick against her body. She felt antsy, with an unusual amount of energy. Keyni only realized when she felt the blood rushing beneath her skin what was happening. She plastered her ears back, closing her eyes. Trying not to grimace. "Not now, for gods sakes not now!!" Her voice echoed to herself inside her head.

Clearing her throat, she shook her head. "I think we should stop here. It is warm out and my throat is parched." Was her excuse as the expansive lake sprawled before them. The water beckoned her. Promised to cool her off, maybe. Without waiting for an answer from her acquaintance (and eager to get some space between them), she took off for the water, her enhanced scent trailing behind her.
it had become warm enough to swim, if he so desired it, but castor found himself hesitating at the lake's edge. it had been a long time since he'd last been in the water.
as he hesitated, a strikingly familiar scent wafted in on the breeze. it didn't belong to anyone he knew - but he knew the scent of heat very well. he froze as he heard the approaching footsteps, and turned with some effort put toward masking his sudden tension. hello, he greeted as another wolf came into view, a woman he didn't recognize. he was too caught off-guard to think of anything else to add.
