Rodyn slid along the outside of the Aumauttuk Grove. Animals chattered deep inside the trees, eyes peered from the shadowed eaves.  He sniffed and scented, merely looking, learning. It was beautiful here, but he was also a hunter and he wanted to know what he was working with.

He preferred to hunt bigger game, Elk, Deer, Moose, but he hadn't been able to since moving here, other than the fawn the one time. He couldn't now either without some help, so with a gentle loping run, he mapped out the area, and learned where some of the secrets were.

Finally, he settled at the edge of the copse of trees, lay down and with a deep happy sigh. His head fell across his paws, and he began to drift. Lazy afternoons were good ones. The butterflies and the other insect life buzzed about him, adding more depth to this afternoon. He would chase a rabbit or a squirrel soon enough. He remembered that Mojag couldn't have rabbit, so he'd probably get some squirrels.
