He had not parted too far from the territory he had come to know as home. Sure, they had settled for only a short time, but much had happened in the last weeks. After all that had been said and done, how he simply lift his head and walk out without a care in the world?

The air had changed. New scents had come, old ones to remain. By now, Vex's pups should have arrived. Oh, how he itched to get a glimpse at the children he'd sired. The thought was appealing, but Vivaan wasn't too sure what all their mother would have to say towards the suggestion. Though, did it really matter?

Fuck it.

He wasn't going to know until he tried.

Treading a few tail lengths from where the border stood, the former Queensguard called for @Vex, an eagerness in his voice. He would see his children, even if only for a second. There was no getting him to leave until he did so.
The call that came for her was one Vex knew well. From within her whelping den, she snarled softly, turning a narrowed gaze on her children. They would be safe enough for the moment. She left them, heading straight for the call. Vex was... conflicted. Part of her wanted Vivaan back within the Dominion, but another part of her wanted to never see him again. When she arrived before him, she still had not made up her mind. Vex looked at him, coolly. "You are trespassing. Why are you here?"

She arrived quickly, just as he knew she would. Through her face and tone alone, he knew she still loathed him... or part of him, anyway.

When the question came, Vivaan knew his answer and would offer no hesitation to give it. I want to see my children. You can hate me all you want for the things I said, but I am still their father. Of all things, you could at least allow me one chance to see them before I leave. He would not plead, but he would not give in easily without a fight either.
Vex debated his words, a displeased scowl on her muzzle all the while. After several long moments, she told him, deadpan, "Our litter has been cursed. There is an albino. He's very weak." And she wanted him gone, so she could forget him, and pretend he never existed. How ashamed she felt to have borne such a creature.

Vex snorted softly, then settled narrowed orange eyes on Vivaan. "It is because you left for a month, I am sure of it. Why could you not just stay by my side, and listen to me?" The Queen snorted again, looking away from him. "If you had not pushed for more power, Vivaan, everything would be fine." This last word she hissed, glaring at him again.

"Our litter has been cursed. There is an albino. He's very weak."

"It is because you left...
Vivaan could not force back the growl that lifted. Tail lifting, he scowled sharply. My fault?Really? I would never have even left if you hadn't been so stubborn and demanding! You want me to listen to you? Why? You never listen to me. If we would have continued on, we would have been married. Do you think partner's are present to sit by idly and and listen while their other gives demands? We're meant to be a pair, a unit... whether a simple pair parenting children or a married couple doing so. How am I supposed to feel that way with you talking down to me all the time? Tell me, please, so I can better understand where the hell your head is at.

These were words he'd held in for the longest time, and here he was, finally getting them off his chest. He didn't care how she reacted at this point. Why should he? No longer would she have control over his every move.
He ranted, and she let him, observing him with a rather bored expression. She told him bluntly, "You sought power that could never be yours. Only I command the Dominion. I am it's ruler, and I rule alone. If you can accept that fact... then perhaps you will find a place here, with your children." He would step down, bow his head, and listen, or he would leave. She was a Queen — she had no reason to listen to him.

Yet again, she refused to listen. If he was so thirsty for power, what did that make her? All she seemed to care about was keeping it for herself. Clearly, she was not meant for a partnership and neither was he.

I will never submit to you as my Queen. You clearly don't give two shits about what I have to say. Raise those brats however you please. So long as they are of Cruor blood, I want nothing to do with them. Vivaan spat coldly.

After a spare moment of silence, he turned to leave, but stopped. No... the runt. Give him to me. You say he is cursed. If I am the cause, he should be my burden. Of Cruor blood or not, he would not let the helpless whelp be treated cruelly because of a simple birth defect. Despite his reputation, he was certainly not that heartless.
At Vivaan's last words, Vex let out a cold laugh. "The runt is mine. I birthed him, I've nursed him, it is up to me to decide his fate." She still had not decided whether or not she wanted to keep him alive, but she was not about to give him to Vivaan. No, he would leave with nothing. Lifting her tail, Vex growled, "Leave, now."

Last from me, unless Vex pursues/stops him

No matter how hard he pressed or what tactics he used, nothing worked. Vex was the most stubborn little shit of a wolf he'd ever met. But did he really have the balls to up and walk away? If to do so in the presence of his former patriarch, he would have been punished severely for abandoning his own blood.

But then, how could he not turn away? Already he had completely besmirched the Cruor name. There was no way to go back on what he said. Not now.

You may be all high and mighty now, but one day, your pride and ego will catch up to you. You, them, The pups. ... that was all I had. Now you've stripped that from me. Ever heard of karma? Oh, it'll come back hard to bite you in the ass and I won't be here to feel sorry for you. No one will. Each word was harsher spat than the last. Years of pent up rage came out now. At this point, what's the worst that would happen? He feared nothing; especially not her.

She'd demanded he'd leave, and so, he would. Turning tail, Vivaan increased his pace without second that, moving straight for the territory. He wouldn't stop, not even after crossing the border. Fuck the Cruor's. If he wasn't appreciated here, then he would find somewhere else.
Vex is only chasing him out of the territory <3

She didn't care for his words, merely snorting and rolling her eyes. She advanced upon him, tail curling over her back, her hackles rising. She would chase him, forcing him to run from her territory. She would not stop until he was past her borders. She shouted at his retreating form, "If I EVER see you again, you will die." Vex would entertain no more visits.
