Private for the pups and @Jarus Domaire! @Vaska @Vidaar Allow Raine to post Jarus first, then the pups can come in. Backdated to 7/6! Also, the pups are now in the socialization period!

Vex had been busy. She had acquired a new mate, and now she brought him home, right to her whelps. "Children," she crooned gently into the whelping den, which they were swiftly outgrowing. It would be time to take them to the rendezvous site soon. "Come out, I have someone I'd like you to meet..."

Looking to Jarus, she smiled and sat, curling her tail over her paws. She had no idea how her children might take a new adult presence.
Finally, after a small length of time the large male was allowed to meet his children. And they were his children, as their mother was his wife. Even if she had not borne them for him, Jarus was determined to raise them as his queen intended.

He followed her deep into the forest, halting just before the den as to not intrude without permission. That, and the fact that compared to a little pup he must seem like a giant made of a species they would have likely not seen before. He'd certainly smell very different from the wolves they'd met already, and their mother.
Venere, bold and unafraid, was the first to leave the den. She squirmed happily at the sight of her mother, but then she saw the stranger, and she backed up a pace, hackles raising and her teeth showing in a small snarl. "'Daar!" she wailed for her brother, Vidaar. What would he think of this new man? And what even was he? Venere stared openly at him, and she looked to her mother, a question in her gaze. Who was he, and why was he here?
"Nere?" He rolled onto his feet waking instantly from his slumber. He ran straight towards the opening to the den. A stranger wait with their mother. He slowed, his hackles raised and his eyes narrowed into slits. "NO!" He charged forward, straight towards the stranger.

Not a wolf, but something else. It didn't matter to him. He repeated the word as he ran. "NO NO NO NO!" He bit down as hard as he could, teeth digging in hard. He thought he tasted blood but he wasn't sure.
Well they were certainly alike with their mother, weren't they. Tiny hairs standing on end, sharp milk teeth bared at him as if they truly stood a chance of defending their home.

The female gazed at him shamelessly, as children do. They're curious things, usually asked way too many questions. It's why Jarus didn't get along with the younglings.

Before he knew what was happening the male had bit into him, drawing tiny pinpricks of blood. The mountain of a man raised his eyebrows as he leaned down to attempt to take the boys tail gently in his teeth and lift him above the ground.
Mama was big, Kevalin bigger, but this man was biggest.

Vidaar rushed the stranger, like he had rushed Kevalin, and Venere snarled, but Vaska only whimpered and backtracked so his head found solace in the shadows again, and he felt a trickle of urine run down his hind leg.

At least Kevalin looked like a wolf! This man looked like a monster, and Vaska wanted nothing to do with him.
It was pure chaos. Venere bared her teeth, but Vidaar was worse. He went for Jarus, biting what he could reach, and then there was Vaska, cowering in a puddle of his own piss. The Queen sighed heavily, and she moved to take Vidaar from her new mate, giving him a rough shake and dropping him next to his siblings. She then cuffed him around the ears with a paw, heavy enough to buffet him but not heavy enough to truly hurt. She brought her face very close to her children's, but it was Vidaar she looked in the eyes as she hissed, "This is your father. You must be kind to him. He made you."
Vidaar was quickly disciplined by the man and their mother, and Venere watched as he got cuffed around the head. She ducked her ears and her own head, releasing a sharp whine. She pressed into her brother, giving him a nervous lick, and then she stared at Jarus.

He was their father? But... but he didn't even look like a wolf! Or smell like one! It didn't make sense, but Venere could not argue, as she had no idea how she and her siblings even came to be. She had to accept what her mother said as the truth. Venere scuffed her paws, shooting furtive glances between her mother and father.

lmao oops I think I posted out of order... next round is vex > jarus > venere > vidaar > vaska, sorry guys! i got excited
