family always welcome! she's not outside the den yet, but also anyone permitted near the den welcome as well!
one month upon this earthly plane. the days each had blended together. there was nothing to make one different from the other. she knew love, she felt love, she gave love. but much of these days would be forgotten.
it was now that the remembering would begin. there was no sense of that, and upon waking this day was in truth no different than the rest. not yet, at least. toula rest against her mother and brother both. her head was against her mothers belly, while her foreleg was thrown across her brothers shoulders. toula could not sleep without his touch; it had been this way since the moment they were conceived.
toula yawned sleepily, flexing her paw in a little stretch. the amiirad did not know it, but they had grown bigger. her head, too. over the span of the next few weeks, her paws and her head would grow quicker than the rest of her, as was the way of growing up. a little at a time.
she mumbled, abaweabe bae, while she moved to sit, which, loosely translated, meant it is time to wake up. she greeted the day with a smile, and then looked to her mother before deciding to greet with a dozen kisses. coltishly bouncing and bounding to @Treva's face, she attempted to do just that before dashing away with a giggle toward their doorstep. whatever the game was, toula had decided she had already won!
tavina had gone away for a trip for a few days.

which left treva particularly full with entertaining the children. some part of her cherished this though, that they might want all of her attention. her daughter was proof of this. treva could not process what was said, but she did feel the sudden million little kisses that dotted her face.

green eyes cracked open to see the girl dashing away to the door.

she would leave her son on the bed of furs before moving to gently nip at the base of toula's tail. nothing harsh, not at all.

where are you off to this morning?
as her mother rose, swept toward her, toula spun-bounced in an excited circle. yes! then, a giddy squeal as her mothers teeth applied slight pressure upon the tip of her tail. toula turned to weave in and out from beneath her mothers legs, and only when her mother spoke did toula pause to look at her.
this time, her ears pressed forward, only just. and she responded, mimicking the question only in its inquiring intonation, bab oh. eeee ba ooo? before she pressed ahead in a prance imbued with her gaiety. again, she moved toward the mouth of the den, though she looked over her shoulder to make sure her mother was joining her.
although this may have been a familiar dance between them now, it still held a fresh charm each time. her daughter grew each day both in size and the way she babbled. even if words could not be understood, she found it easy to entertain them as fluent conversation all the same.

okay, okay. she playfully huffed. we'll go for a walk while your brother sleeps. where should we go?
toula thrilled as her mother moved with her. and as she did, toula again emerged into the fresh light of day (what of it the hallways could provide) and basked in it for a moment. her mother spoke in that lovely voice of hers, and toula answered as she always would: o-taaayyy, ola o-tay, keen, with a smile. and with a hint of mischief in her gaze, toula bolted with a delighted giggle in the direction she had once seen her mother go in the dark.
she had been much too tired to follow her then. and perhaps it had only been a dream. faint murmurings in the night, meant not to disturb. and she had not been! only curious. but the sands of sleep had been too heavy to resist that evening.
the amiirad was not at all quick in her bolting, and could easily be stopped. her legs could not take her very far very quickly, yet... and it was not her intent to run away from her mother, but to take her with her!
toula moved at what could be considered a childish sprint.

treva did not seek to correct this. her running was growth! it was a building of muscles and strength. she welcomed every sign of health that could be seen.

so she trotted off after her, easy to keep pace with her when their legs varied so much. she looked down at her daughter with the warmth of the sun itself. she felt nothing but unbridled love. it was overwhelming, nearly!

lead. learn to command now, toula.

if she could bow the knees of father pharoah and mother queen, she would fair fine in akashingo.
