i thought it would be nice if we had a little group thread @Bartholomew & @Jasmine, no pressure & time isnt real <3 she is east, by the turtle, in the shallow water <3

heda had wrestled with a great fish for hours. it should have been too large to get away. it should have easily strained her neck to a cracking point. but the fact of the matter was that the giant creature had been wounded down the coast by a seal. it had found a nest of shallows and stones to die, and that was where heda had found it.
after three hours of valiantly hanging on, chasing the fish, guarding its stranded body, and trying to drag it closer to shore without being hit by its fin, heda was panting and exhausted.
"please. god." her voice was faint. "i want to get this fish. can't you help me? please."
he tended to home work.

he tended to the places they tested, he considered how a garden for healers might look and he consider if they should find visitors some time. a thing he felt would be most important to discuss with heda.

and he looked onward from the greenhills down to her at the coast, working the water and something within it.

he watched until it seemed her struggling drew tired. then he approached, warmth in his voice and gait.

the first son of God was a fisherman! he declared over the cry of a gull, who watched the pair with beady eyes.

it wouldn't be until he was a bit closer that he spotted the great beast too.
She, too, had crested the green hills, only for nothing as lofty as Bartholomew’s thoughts. She merely sought out an afternoon hunt, when she had grown distracted by a great splashing in the water. Jasmine had watched the scene through squinted eyes, and soon enough found this futile. Whatever was down there was too far for her to see, which really left only one thing for her to do.

Bartholomew was already there by the time Jasmine arrived - and did her eyes widen at the sight of Heda, and a monster of the deep.

A fish? she shouted over the din of the waves, no way man, that’s a freakin’ whale!

She laughed and splashed forward to try and help, girl, look at you go! Jasmine knew she was no fisher, but she was no quitter, either, and the girl jumped in opposite her friend to help wrestle down the beast.
first bartholomew's voice rose encouragingly, and then jasmine was rushing down the slopes to help. together they held tightly to the fish, which thrashed out its last and eventually expired among the shallows.
"thank god," heda said with a true tilt of her head skyward, perhaps as she had seen her mentor do in times past.
she looked with radiance at jasmine, then back toward bartholomew. "it's huge. we should eat for days!" maybe even weeks.
there was a deep sense of fellowship in heda.
jasmine was lively, bursting onto the scene with support of heda's endeavors.

heda thanked God and he looked to her with a newfound appreciation.

the whole island could eat for days! called warmly as he finally closed the distance, coming to the edge of the waters where they had washed up the beast.

we have been blessed. i should say a prayer.

he would not ask either girl to join in, unless they wished to, but it certainly felt right in this moment.
