Noir had tracked @Vagabond to their northern border, and she gave a quick woof to alert him to her presence. Harbinger, she greeted him easily, warmly, and approached, bowing her head. I was hoping to catch you. The Vicera would like me to go and visit Sapphique, and check on Lenora. Was there anything I could do for you while I'm out?
The outrider approached him with a woof of greeting. Hello, Noir. He nodded in appreciation as she explained her mission. He loved that Violante would continue to look after Lenora even though she was no longer interested in being one of their wolves.

Yes, actually, could you keep an ear out for a mentor, for myself actually, willing to travel here. I desire training as a warrior, but it is too soon for me to be traveling again, especially with our home no longer being a secret. He looked away as an involuntary growl overtook him, sighing heavily he shook himself. I must ready myself if we have any hope in defending ourselves. If anyone desires more training I will then be equipped to teach them.
The Harbinger desired a mentor, specifically a warrior. Noir thought on this for a moment and then dipped her head in understanding. Of course, Harbinger. I will ask Sapphique if they have anyone capable. It was natural, she thought, to want to learn to fight, to defend oneself, one's home and family. Noir herself was a tiny thing, and skinny to boot — she would never make a fighter, but she made a damned good scout.

I would learn defense, but it must wait until I return. Supposedly, the best offense was a good defense, and if Noir could manage that...
There will be time for you to learn too, of course. Although Violante had promised to teach him he hadn't relished the idea. He still wanted to, absolutely, but he also wanted to broaden his horizons. Learning from multiple wolves would undoubtedly give him more techniques that he wouldn't otherwise learn. Noir did have a point though, he would have to continue his work as a Guardian in tandem. Paying equal attention to both would be a challenge, in addition to his other duties, but it was important to him, so he would find a way.
super short thread bc muse is bad
Of course, she agreed, smiling widely and showing her teeth. Then, she stood and dipped her head. Well, Harbinger, I must be off. I'll let you know what I hear from Sapphique. Another smile, and the Outrider slipped off into the trees, heading north towards the coast.
same, closing thread. <3

Safe travels. Vagabond smiled at Noir and watched as she disappeared out of sight. He decided to do one last patrol of their border before heading to find his family for the evening.
