"your brother has gone to begin his trading. but natigvik asks for our help. i ask that you go to them now."
kukutux pointed east.
"and moonglow will follow. rodyn will not be there until first-snow. they have need now."
Sandulf found the moonwoman. It had cost him a squirrel, but a leaders call was to be heeded.
Sandy followed her point and nodded. the strange scent near the borders and past is it of Natigvik for me to follow?
He had scented another at the border and past and into the Ulaq of moonwoman. But it had not lingered long but he could still catch up he'd wager.
What is it you ask of me to help them with? Hunting? Danger?
"there is a river."
she described what of it sakhmet had said.
"offer both hunting and your teeth. tell her that we will come to her soon."
Sandulf listened. Formed a mental map in his head. He may have passed it when he had first came to the area. He nodded his head.
Very well. I will offer what i can.
He dipped his head. How many days does it take with hard running?
kukutux considered.
"seven days with rest. four, maybe, with hard running."
she looked admiringly at him. "you are agluvinik. bone runner. show me that you are sharp like the point of a tossed spear."
it was a challenge of welcome.
Sandulf nodded his head. Four then.
Sandy had learned early on how to use his stamina to his benefit. He would get there, and he would meet the wolves. And he would protect them with teeth and claw and hunt for them.

He smiled at her compliment and challenge he would do his best to run, as she thought he could.
"ask for the issumatar, sakhmet. give my name to her ears."
she nudged him.
"i will send prayers to sedna for your safe journey. moonglow gives thanks to you, sandulf."
Sandulf bent his head towards hers and smiled. He gave a gentle chuff. The scar twisting along his muzzle in a strange way, but yellow eyes glittered kindly.
And I will do my best. What would you like from my journey Moonwoman? You take care of everyone else, but you deserve something too. Would you like something that you cannot find here?
she looked at his scar and felt her own upon her shoulder twinge.
"i ask for nothing. only that my eyes see you as hunter again when the time has come."
Sandulf nodded his head. And he touched her briefly with nose, and then looked towards the border.
If you'll allow I'll leave tonight. I am well rested and fed. I would like to not leave them without someone to help them guard.
He smiled. Thank you for allowing me to help where I can.
she nodded.
"leave as soon as you are able, sandulf."
