again i wanted to start a thread... feel free to answer! :D

Aemilia padded along the damp sand, leaving a trail of footprints in her wake. The sterling she-wolf was again wandering around the area, exploring places as she went. She'd had a good meal a few moments ago, though she was still hungry for more fresh meat. She could hunt for fish, perhaps?

A gust of wind blew towards the Roman girl, ruffling her silvery-grey Angelus Mortis fur. The calm blue waves rolled against the shore, occasionally sweeping into her paws as she walked.

Aemilia's footsteps slowed, and that was when she realized that she was tired. Promptly she paused, stopped, and turned to look at the bottomless blue ocean which seemed to stretch for miles. There was something she found calm about the ocean, seemingly soothing.

She sat down and watched the shadows that seemed to form just a bit above the horizon, a tad bit sideways...
The knight cut through the salty waves, swimming with a familiarity that the other knights had lacked. They left swimming and fishing to the commoners, to those without land. You could not claim the sea, which left it open to many desperate men and women. The storm-gray male dunked his head underwater, quick as a dolphin, successfully reemerging with a fish wriggling in his jaws.

Dragging himself back to shore, he dispatched the fish with ease. He was about to turn and dive into the waters again, but he a slim female walking on the sand caught hid eye instead. The knight chuffed, trying to get the woman's attention. He was a sucker for pretty faces, and he wondered if she had a sharp mind to match.
Meeka meandered along the shoreline, occasionally pausing to sniff at the sand hoping to find something edible. Her keen nose pinpointed something that smelled like food buried in the wet sand. She dug a shallow hole to reveal what at first appeared to be a rock. But on closer inspection she realized it was a sea critter encased in a hard shell. No doubt the shell served to protect a soft meaty treat inside. She tried to crack it open with her jaws, but only ended up hurting her teeth.

Not one to give up easily, Meeka decided to take a different approach. She picked up the stubborn creature in her teeth and set out to look for the biggest rock she could find. If she couldn't crack the shell with her jaws, she'd bash it open with a rock.

As she walked, she spotted a pair of wolves standing on the beach. She thought they had to be wolves, anyway. Having only been on her own for about a week, she'd never actually laid eyes on a real wild wolf before. She'd met plenty of dogs, even a few wolf hybrids, like herself. These creatures were bigger than any dog she'd ever seen.

Meeka dropped her food and quickly covered it with sand. The wolves had some food of their own, but she still wanted to be cautious. The other wild canines she had encountered thus far hadn't passed up the chance to steal her food. She hoped her fellow wolves would be kinder to her. "Hi there," she said uncertainly.
A chuff, one she did not recognize jolted Aemilia out of her little trance. The petite Roman girl turned her head, looking sideways.

A wolf stood. One that held both dark and light in his hide, two tones of grey fur encasing his figure. His pelt was slightly wet, slightly slicked back, which gave the Roman girl the impression that he had been swimming earlier on. Hunting for fish, perhaps?

She was about to respond to him with a greeting when another voice went through her good ear. A salutation, one that held uncertainty in its undertone. Aemilia spotted the creature, not quite a wolf, not quite a husky, either. Both. A hybrid.

The petite Roman girl hadn't had any encounters with anything of their sort, so this was the first time she'd seen and met one. Quickly she murmured greetings to both the wolf and the hybrid. ā€¯Hello, there."
