Rodyn knew it was still too early for the ermine to be 100% white, he would need to wait for a little longer, before they were completely white. However, what he did notice was they were starting to change a little bit, and he wanted to know more about them, and what they did. Perhaps he could even meet a kind stranger willing to help him get a stag.

So with gentle paw steps he moved throughout the trees. Eyes upon the far reaching shadows, body low to the ground, his russet fur giving him perfect camouflage among the trees as they changed their green to autumn colors. This was the ideal time for him to hunt, and he was extremely proud of himself thus far. He had done well.
Natshana is nearby, searching for a particular fungus, when a scent reaches her.  Narrowing her eyes, she turns her head and tries to spot the source of the smell.  It takes her quite some time, given how well the stranger's pelt complements the landscape around him, but eventually, she sees movement.  At once, she recognizes a hunter's stance and remains quite still.

Unable to spot the other wolf's quarry, she scans the immediate vicinity and tastes the air around them.  She can smell a few pieces of smaller prey but nothing substantial as of yet.  The apothecary lowers herself, allowing her belly fur to brush against the grass as she tries to relocate herself in the stranger's peripheral vision.  This could be her chance to secure a better meal than scraps, and she isn't going to waste it.  Hoping to get Rodyn's attention, she flicks her tail once but otherwise stays low.
Rodyn was momentarily struck out of his mindset, when a flash of white fur came near. He turned his head, yellow eyes upon pristine fur and gave a nod. With slow even steps, he bent lower and moved towards her.

Upon a whisper he spoke. Hello. I'm Rodin Ardeth. Trader. There are weasels or I can help you bag bigger game, are you a fair hunter?

He didn't know if she would like help, but he was willing to see. He wasn't sure how many deer would be throughout here, but surely they could find at least one. But he wouldn't attempt such a hunt unless he was certain of his current company's prowess in hunting.
"Natshana," she greets him with her name and a respectful nod. "I am an apothecary by trade, but I hunt well enough to have survived thus far," is her honest answer.  By no means does she intend to deceive this pack wolf. "If you are more skilled than I, perhaps you should take point." Whatever it takes to raise their chances of a successful hunt, she'll do.  Training her eyes back on the immediate area around them, she allows herself a moment to smell what is on the wind.  There is quite a bit of a small game, maybe a young deer or two.  Her harvest moon gaze returns to Rodyn with an expression that suggests she will follow his lead.
okay so i rolled for weasel or deer got deer. So :)

Well met, Miss Natshana.

He nemt his nose to the ground and nodded. Theres some young bucks and perhaps one old if these tracks are to go by.

He motioned towards the tracks on the ground. Heavier depth proving girth and a heavy limp in one leg. They could probably get that one.

He lowered his shoulders and closed his eyes. Took a deep breath, evening out his breathing and then opened yellow eyes to slink towards the boughs that hid the elder.

I will bite haunches, head throat, if you herd it and keep it occupied in rear? Watch for kicking hooves.

With quick precision they worked in tandem. Rodyn did as asked and the she wolf followed. As the stag lay at their feet, bloody and broken he grinned.

He would separate, what he could and go from there. He was fine with sharing the bounty for the she wolf. ALl he really wanted was the fur, but he was not adverse to taking some of the meat home.
