Moonglow had not changed. He knew the routes by heart despite the time spent within his own village. The sleeping places of the women, the sanctuary of Kukutux, the places where he had been made to stay and to recuperate, all there; not a thing out of place except his people.

The coming of Natigvik would bolster the ranks and give strength to Moonwoman. Kigipigak was thankful that she would take them in so quickly, but at the same time was not surprised by such charity, as they were kin. He pined for the riverside as soon as he was upon the mountain. His heart had gone walkabout, but Kigipigak trusted that @Sakhmet would one day return.

This had been the plan. The discussion had become an argument long in to the early hours, prior to her departure. It had been settled: she would seek them here on her return with @Akkuma. Their home could not stand without its issumatar. It seemed a selfish thing to Kigipigak at the time, that half his family would abandon the riverside during the hunt.

It was too late now to do anything about it. They were gone. Kigipigak and @Kivaluk were here, now. He had not spoken a word to anyone during the journey and now, as the man returned from a refreshing hike along the borders, he was too out of breath to say anything.
