The travel to these wilds had taken too long. Nessa had hoped to arrive before the coming of her second year, but that had not been the case. Occasional stops and detours had been required, slowing her pace significantly. It was saddening, really. She had always been a timely wolf, even since the days of her youth. This was the first time she'd ever been off with her calculations. Was it that she'd followed the wrong stars and turned herself around too many times? Truthfully enough, she did need practice. But that was why she was here! If only she could find the family she sought, Nes could learn what skills her bloodline had known by tradition.

Open moors was where she landed first. By the sweet scents and crunchy leaves of autumn, she had a feeling she was in the right place. It was different than Beryl Forest, but also similar in some ways. The land was far stretched and held beautiful sights. To see it all at once tickled the excitement within her. It made the girl — no... woman, now — wiggle her tiny frame. 

Focus, she reminded herself with a whisp of breath. But, now, where to go first?
