maybe @Samani? :)
also a lil vague still

Datura had lasting effects. Perhaps even more so for somebody still young, developing.

Callyope did everything a touch slower these days. Her singing in the mornings had become a bit slower, her mind had become full of more whimsy. Out of touch and seemingly elsewhere. Today would be no different as she stood upon the southern borders.

Eyes fixed upon the mountain range just next door.

She dreamed of higher places even in her waking moments.
The sea girl had been hunting on the border when she caught sight of her sister.

Samani lifted her head and gazed in the direction where Callyope stood. There were thoughts on her young sibling’s mind. She could smell them on the wind. Curious about what had drawn the young girl to the edge of Moonglow, Samani trotted toward her and yipped a greeting when she had gotten near enough to be heard.

Callyope, she called Sister, how are you today?

A small smile played on her features. She hoped that everything in her sibling’s life was good, that she was enjoying herself despite the cold. It would bring many challenges for them. Samani hoped that she could grow her hunting abilities now that it mattered most.
The mountain spoke to her.

Oh, no. That was her sister. Woven of locks of fire, eyes of the blooming earth.

Have you stepped upon the mountain? Accidentally she skipped over the question that had been asked of her, but her thoughts were elsewhere. Far away.

She recalled the way she had looked down upon her family from high up, in another world.
It was not an answer that was given but a faraway question, uttered from the lips of her sister while her gaze appeared to drift. The sea girl did not understand what had transpired to bring on this waking dream. She squinted upon Callyope with a line of worry forming between her eyes.

She wanted to know if Samani had been to the mountain. The girl fixed her jade eyes upon Moonspear, in the distance. She smiled at a single memory she had of the place. It was pleasant enough. She wondered if her sister had taken an interest in the beautiful rock that grew into the sky.

I have, once. I chased a mountain goat up the rocks. It outran me. They’re quick on the mountain.

Samani looked to Callyope with a question in her eyes.
I would like to see the view from it.

She admitted softly. Brilliant amber gaze turned warm to her sister. Hunter and maker of second-camp. She felt warm when faced with her older sibling.

Almost overwhelmed by it!

And it showed in the soft carving of her features. Quickly she turned her gaze back towards the mountains.
Samani did not think that there was anything wrong with visiting the mountain. She wanted to fulfil this for her sister. The peachy wolf glanced over her shoulder, back toward Moonglow with a thin-lipped expression on her features. It would not take them long, she decided.

Let us go see it, then. Perhaps with your help, we can bring back meat from the mountain goat for our people.

A gentle smile found her normally passive expression. The jade in her eyes danced merrily at Callyope, pleased to share a moment with her young sister. It would be a great joy to journey to the mountain with her and to hunt at her side.
I have walked with the caribou. I have not with the goats.

She confessed with a shiver down her spine. Excited, energized. Eager for more things than she could put together.

When do we go? Now?
We could maybe do a couple more to get them to the borders and then do a new thread on the mountain? ^^ But I am good with anything. <33

There was nothing that could have made her happier than to see the shift of excitement on Callyope’s features. Samani believed she would do anything for her sister. They would make a small trip to the mountain, yes. She would walk with the goats on the stones and see their crafty hooves dance precariously near the edge.

Yes, now. We will sing for anaa so she does not worry.

Samani stepped toward her sister and kissed her head softly. Her eyes fixed to the mountain in the distance. It would be good for them, she believed this.
perfect! :D

We sing, yes.

She hummed softly in the back of her throat. Accidentally beginning to sing a song to them, instead of for those ears that might miss them. Yet already she began along a path towards the border.

Humming and working along.

Everything was light again, everything felt good.
Ah, so Callyope agreed, and she was willing. There was a wonderful and adventurous spirit inside of the younger girl. Already, a song bubbled up from the back of her throat. Samani’s expression was loving on her sibling. It would be a very good day to visit the mountain. There was newfound energy in her step. The young woman’s peachy limbs began carrying her toward Moonglow’s border.

They would sing to Kukutux when they reached the edge of their land. It would be a good thing to send as a farewell, Samani thought. Then they would not worry for the girls, and they would be free to enjoy their time away from their home.

Tell me what you thought of the strong caribou?
Of the strong caribou?

Her melodic humming turned into one of thought. A drawn out note as she considered what she could recall of them. How they had protected their own from the hunting villages.

I think we are not so different! She declared suddenly, with laughter following her words. They work together too, you know.
Yes, they do.

Samani was pleased to know that her sister had such a keen eye. She did not miss what the caribou had done when they had worked to hunt them. There were a great many things that they could find in their prey and their surroundings. The sea girl had recognized this at a young age. She was pleasantly surprised to see that Callyope had done the same.

And look at what you know, now. That we can learn from all things, yes?

A valuable lesson, indeed. The girls moved closer to the border of Moonglow and one step closer to their goal on the mountain.
I learn plenty.

She agreed with a firm nod of her head. Content to hum her way to the borders with her sister. A working song on repeat in her vocal chords.

A song that she let ring out for Moonglow as they came upon the edge.

Then hushed followed her voice for her sister.

The stone will be better before the snow. She did not know that mountains often times collected it first. This she would learn too.
Making us a new (back-dated) one! I’m assuming the mountain is Moonspear? Is that right? If not, it’s where they’re headed. XD

Samani smiled at Callyope’s statement. It was good to learn. Though she was not too much older, the peachy young woman had spent every day of her youth in question. She had learned a lot by asking and by being unafraid of not knowing. This was not a skill that she could pass on to her sister. It was merely one that Samani hoped Callyope found on her own.

A call was made to @Kukutux to let her know that they would be traveling outside the village. When the young woman looked to her sister, she felt her heart soar with joy. It would be a wonderful trip.
