Germanicus had mentioned Mereo's matrona. A woman named Aquene, as he'd called her. Aside from her lessons with her new pupil, she was to learn the ways of a midwife; maybe even to discuss some native herbs as well.
Though she wasn't quite sure where the woman would be housed, Ali figured she could find her somewhere within the plebian quarters. Thus far, only the two of them slept here, so it wouldn't be too hard to spot her.
