The girl @Ash Paw had been tending to was gone.

He had no doubt in the healing capabilities of the Mage, but had she managed to mend somebody so fast that they could vanish just as quick? He itched some with the knowledge that he could surely track them down if wanted.

Yet Ingram had not ordered it and his loyalty was to Basilica first. Not his whims or curiosity.

So instead he came to check on the familiar calico, a low and warm rumble in his throat.
Was waiting to see the outcome of the thread between Ingram Hello lovely.

Ash Paw saw him and she drew comfort from his presence, despite their age gap, she was fast growing fond of the beast. All the men of basilica truly, but he held a more coveted spot. As he treated her better than all of them.

Hello Syrax. She greeted him warmly, and motioned him into her den where it was warmer. She was not keen on leaving it lately. One because her ire was still high that she was called a liar and she would be one if she didn't admit that soem part of her felt that perhaps she wasn't as good as she thought if the girl could get up and leave. Or she was just that big of a fool

She frowned. Either I am a big fool or I am not adept at healing as i thought. The girl shouldn't have been able to get home or leave so easily and so quickly. He wounds were numerous and deep.
He came in, wordless but warm. Then settled down so he might be a barrier to the outside world. Prying eyes or whipping winds. He was prepared to hold them all at bay for at least a little.

I thought it was odd she was gone, but...maybe she has a death wish. Delirious from the wounds or something. But he didn't blame Ash. She had done her part and he had seen her wisdom in the way she had directed him time and time again.

You don't want me to go after her, do you?
Ash Paw felt a kinship to him as he settled in her doorway. And she was appreciative of his presence. Though she wasn't certain what to think of herself or the rest right now. Not with the girl leaving so easily.

She shook her head adamantly. No Dreadfather made it clear we are to let her go. We are no longer to waste resources on her. He said when the times comes he will find her for the life debt. If she survives. I won't have you get in trouble, because i have doubts.

She raised a shoulder and then moved about the den, fixing things. She would like a deer pelt in here some day. It would be nice.

How is everything with you? She then settled and waited, blue eyes on him, waitiing, listening.
