Reyson had given Anselm more than an easy ride home. He’d awoken something in the boy that had previously been sleeping — a tracker’s sense of purpose. 

Anselm was still a neophyte in the grand scheme of tracking capabilities, but today he nosed along the ground in search of @Wylla’s scent. While nosing for grub and carrion had come easily to the boy, tracking a moving target was much harder. With the ground frozen, Wylla’s tracks were not always visible — he had to rely on his nose to fill in the gaps.
