please let glaukos post first! <3

A familiar scent lingered with that of the overwhelming scent she could only assume belonged to the general. In her mouth, the small bone Sixsix had retrieved for her, coupled with several sprigs of rosemary she had sourced near the end of their journey. At her side, @Glaukos. She stopped at the boundary, giving her traveling companion the honor of calling upon his general. It would sound better coming from one of his own.
Some unease accompanied Glaukos as he climbed the path to Mereo, followed alongside by Sialuk. He could not place why he felt this way. It served no purpose. Soon they would be in the company of the general and after, Glaukos would give his report of his travels and likely be admonished for his delay; his thoughts swam with the memory of the punishment stone.

Sialuk appeared to be in good humor. She had her bone, her plant sprigs, her bird. Nothing seemed to bother her about the visit. She cast him an expectant look and he took a moment to clear his throat, then tip his chin back to announce his arrival to @Germanicus, carrying forth the message: I return, with a guest.

Now they merely had to wait for the man to arrive — and Glaukos felt more on-edge than before, as if he were bringing home a girl to introduce to his father (but Germanicus was far from that).
glaukos had come back.

and at his side a whitefurred wolfess.

the imperator arrived at his summons. "signifer," he greeted in a soldier's tone.

"i am germanicus," he introduced to the woman, who smelled of places far-flung.
The general, too, was dwarfed by Glaukos's massive height. Sialuk had expected him to be larger, though she knew it was not only one's physical size that demanded power. This was a thing she had learned from anaa. Small as she was, Kukutux held herself in a way that many would see her as a leader. Sialuk did not do this now, not wishing to insult the man in his own village.

Her ears turned down toward her head, and her body crouched lower than his. She took a tentative step forward, then placed the rosemary sprigs and bone between them. It is an offer of peace. I am Sialuk Ostrega, daughter of Kukutux, alpha and starwoman of Moonspear. I have kept Glaukos too long from you.
the sight of glakuos with a woman was not one that germanicus had expected.

he accepted this sialuk and her titles.

"i am glad you found him," said the imperator dryly. "i am germanicus."

his yellowpaint eyes shone.

"do you mean to return him, lady sialuk?"
The woman nodded. He is bound to you, she said, glancing to the shadowed spirit of Glaukos. She did not know if he wished to be here, but it was here that he must return. Sialuk would not introduce dishonor to the Moonspear name by bringing deserters into her village.
glaukos would be welcomed silently back to mereo.

germanicus found he had questions for the woman before him.

"will you tell me of this moonspear, lady ostrega?" he asked politely, mind reminded of rodyn and moonglow.
The general wished to hear more of her mountain, and Sialuk found pride swelled in her chest. Moonspear is the tallest of her kind, she said, It is the place of my birth, and where I have always wished to return. My mother holds the village Moonglow. Sialuk thought he might know of her mother's village, being that it had been there many moons.

We are a peaceful village, she added, wishing the general to know that she meant no harm to him and his own.
moonspear, moonglow, these heathens were obsessed with the night.

"i can see that," he said with a bare smile that also flicked over glaukos. "i would be honored to one day visit each of these villages."

"you have come far. will you rest for a time?"
Sialuk glanced briefly to Glaukos before she answered. Of course, she said, the answer meant for both the direct and implied question of a visit. To rest a little while would not take long, and it would be a long journey home.

feel free to wrap here!
