Ady knew that they had made a decision and she carefully picked herself towards the center of the pack lands. Belly beginning to round out, her appetite coming back. No one could look at her and not know what was coming in the future of the pack lands. It was such a moment of happiness for her to realize that all their hard work wasn't for naught. They had done well, her and Ully.

After she found a place, and she took like ten minutes to get comfortable and be able to see everyone. She finally lifted her muzzle to the sky and called out for their pack mates. They had some things to discuss and it would be nice to have a meet and greet anyway.

Ulrich had been quiet in the Isle for some time, speaking little to others, focusing only on his wife and the thought of his eventual fatherhood. He heard her howl from far off and came loping towards the sound as fast as he could. Reaching her, he stood panting, and came to push his forehead to hers in greeting. A pack meeting was a good idea--he should have done it himself--and he sat beside her and waited for the others to show. It was time to raise Iseul up.

they were all summoned to come and join their leaders.

when iseul came forth, it appeared that she was first on the scene as Ulrich and adylaide came into sight. friends of hers, she liked to think too. so the young girl comes to dip her head as a greeting to both of them, settle nearby, and give room for others. her eyes drifted toward adylaide and she noticed her evergrowing stomach.

and secretly, iseul hoped that the children would come to call her aunty, a beloved title held by another in iseul's heart.

Lýkos padded over at the alphas call. It was his first pack meeting since joining so he was intrigued

Ady lifted her head and counted. They were missing a few of their faces, but Iseul was there and the new wolf Lykos, she hadn't met that one yet. They would continue, perhaps the others were just late?

She cleared her throat. As you all probably have noticed. There will be some changes to the packlands soon enough. That being said. We have an announcement to make and then will allow any of you to speak if you so wish it.

She looked to her husband with a smile. Ulrich care to do the honors.

She would then step back with a kind smile to all and a sweet wink to her dearest friend as of late.

Ulrich was all smiles until Adylaide asked him to do the honors. Uhh... he began, awkwardly. Underneath his shiny new Leader status, he was still a soldier at heart, used to taking orders and not giving them. O-Of course. Stalling for time, he cleared his throat, shuffled his paws. Glanced at Iseul, then away. Um... Right. So, Adylaide and I are... expecting, as has been made clear. He looked at his wife, then, down to her swelling belly, and settled into himself a little more. Felt a little less nervous. He smiled, a soft, genuine smile.

Remembering where he was, he looked around at his pack members again. As such, she and I will be busy for some time, preparing for the birth, building dens, and afterwards, caring for our children. So, we thought it was time to elevate one of you to Deputy status, or Beta, if you prefer that word. Someone who can see to important business if Adylaide and I are both busy or indisposed. With that in mind... He cleared his throat again, and looked to Iseul. We... thought Iseul would do nicely. She has been here almost from the very beginning, and is an active member of the Isle. She clearly cares for all of us here, for the safety and wellbeing of the pack...

He trailed off, looking at Iseul; he'd grown fond of her over the weeks and months. So... Generally, the Isle runs on democracy, and we'd take a vote. However, this pack is still small, and not all of you are currently present. He glanced around, hoping for their missing members to appear. So, I feel confident saying that Adylaide and I have made a decision and this is what we will go with, unless someone has a very strong disagreement. He looked at their prospective Deputy again. Iseul, you can, of course, refuse this position, and I will respect that. But... I hope you accept. He gave the girl a smile, his veins alight with nerves.

He was late!

He had become stuck in a particularly cold current of the river and by the time he had made it to land, he had already realized he was late.

They had called and he could come with nothing to show save for his drenched form.

Quickly, silently, he slunk his way into the background. Prepared to sit there and catch what he could of the flowing conversation. Something about the willow tree woman he admired!

It was that alone that made him perk up softly in the background.

Lykos was interested as he heard about the new role, and did not expect it to be given to him as he was a new member, so he wasn't disappointed when it was given to someone else. He just smiled and nodded as the Deputy was announced

she was chosen?

iseul was a bit taken back by this decision, knowing that she was certainly younger and still was not fluent in the tongue of communicating within the wilds. yet she must've proven herself somehow to the others of her value. she takes a small peak at the others who have joined.

a small coywolf and her shadow. she wondered if there were others, though this wonder turned into fact when Ulrich mentioned that not everyone was present. a small cast of her jadeite eyes towards his cobalt ones, just for a moment. then she turns her attention to the expecting couple.

"i accept," she comes to say with a nod, "to help isle, and to help friends." it lacked fluidity, though felt soaked with confidence. iseul would now have to work harder under her title, though perhaps this was just the challenge the girl needed!

A glowing smile to first her husband and then her dear friend. Yes it was good, they were growing. They were thriving. And she was so happy for it. Does anyone have any other business they wish to bring to our attention?

She looked around at all the faces giving them time to speak up. No one seemed to have much to say. They were all a pretty quiet group. Sticking to themselves mostly. Small, but mighty she liked to think.

Iseul accepted her role as Deputy, and Ulrich breathed a sigh of relief. Also relieving was that no one else seemed to object. When Adylaide asked if there was other business to attend to, he quietly shook his head, and then looked around at the others to see if they had anything to add. The meeting had been short, but this was a good thing, assuming no one brought anything new to their attention. It meant nothing bad was going on in the Isle.

"I have a question." Lýkos said. "Are men of the pack, like myself, allowed to mate with other wolves outside of the pack?" He asked. "Or, inside of the pack as well, but I was mainly wondering for outside, as I figure wolves inside the pack cannot mate with each other." He added

ADy studied the wolf in question and then slowly answered. We don't have any qualms against a wolf outside of the pack or even in it. As long as there are enough resources to go around. And we ask that you at least give us the courtesy of letting us know you plan to or have.

Then she smiled. IF that is all the questions. Please go about your duties. And thank you for coming. Ulrich? Do you have anything more?

Ulrich nodded along to what Adylaide was saying, with a smile. He would certainly not disallow other members of the pack to have children; that seemed like something Ady's parents would have done--did do, in fact. And he did not want to be like them.

When asked if he had anything to add, he shook his head. No. No, I think we can call the meeting to a close. He turned toward Iseul. Thank you for accepting the position of Deputy. Please come to me or Adylaide with questions. He fell silent then, expecting the others to disperse.
