The Roman had wandered the wilds for sometime now, he knew his brother was here from one of his former packmates and he knew he should be still here somewhere. But winter was coming and however thick his coat was, it wouldn't help when starvation occurred and the yearling was not going to be reduced to cannibalism yet. He knew he had to find a pack to stay in for now, until he found his brother, but that would just mean he had to do extra duties for the pack and everything that was expected of him, and that would just slow down the search. But common sense overruled and with a faint inaudible sigh, he began moving forward, he knew that soon enough there would be a pack.

And so the journey began, it wasn't long before the faintest trace of a pack scent touched his nostrils. Scipio quickened his pace, his mind wandering, wondering if perhaps the gods had been especially nice to him and led him to his brother's pack. But the hope slowly died away as he moved towards the scent line, there was no trace of his brother's scent here, and besides he doubted Hadrian would even settle in a place like this. He liked green valleys, somewhere near mountains. He loved open spaces more than anything else in the world.

The longing and pain began expanding in his chest and he nearly choked as the emotions threatened to overwhelm him, but a moment later, he managed to grasp control of it again. Making sure he was a respectable distance away from the borders, he lifted his head into the air and howled a melodic song, alerting the leaders of this pack that he was here. When the song was over, the halfbreed did not sit down, but remained standing. Bright sea green eyes gazing at the border line, hoping to see the form of a wolf soon. Expression impassive and eyes cold and empty except for the Angelus Mortis glint, he waited, impatience creeping up at him but he shoved it aside. His father's teachings finally came to use, too bad he couldn't teach it in a nicer, less brutal manner.

Blue had been sticking close to home. She didn't really have the drive to leave the borders at the moment. She had looked for Atticus, even after having accepted the proposal from Lasher. She however continued ot look when she could, but she was finally coming to the realization that he wasn't coming back. They had found his trail leading into the sharp cliffs and there it disappeared. She sighed softly, it was not a good feeling losing one you loved, but there was happiness for her in the future. She would have children, even if they weren't exactly how she had wanted them, they were going to be her own and she was grateful for this.

She heard the howl come across the plateau and she trotted towards it. Her tail swaying up above her back and her green eyes glittering with interest. She wondered who was coming to pay them a visit and if they were seeking a home, or just a stop on their way.
feel free to skip him if you wish! I just wanted to throw him in

Dante too heard the call, but though he responded with immediate action, another intercepted first. When he arrived Blue Willow was already there, so he hung back. He was interested in knowing what the young wolf was doing calling on their borders (though of course he had an idea).

Knowing that Blue Willow would ask all the questions necessary, Dante remained back, waiting and listening for the stranger to introduce himself.

It wasn't long before he was greeted by a wolf, a she wolf with dark fur, and bright green eyes. For a moment, he wondered who she was, because back where he was raised, females weren't to be leaders but he wasn't in the lands of Rome now. It was a new place, there would be new languages, new cultures and traditions, but he wouldn't ever forget his teachings, how could he? The pain of his former wounds stung him everytime he thought about it. Now when Scip was nervous, he would use his humor and speak latin, and this was the current case. Salve. Scipio Ahala Angelus Mortis nomen mihi est," he spoke in a calm voice, before realizing his mistake.

Lowering his head and tail, and crouching down in submission, as far as his Roman Pride would allow him to, he spoke again, this time in English. "Sorry, I am used to speaking in Latin, my native tongue. My name is Scipio Ahala Angelus Mortis but you can call me Scipio or Scip for short. I seek to join this pack." he said respectfully. The yearling sincerely hoped that this wasn't going to last long, he hated crouching down to anyone, only ever doing so to his father, and that was because Aku forced him to do it. All his life, only the other wolves (except for his dad) bowed to him for he was the son of the Imperator, even if he was half Greek. But this wasn't the case now, and he would do anything to get his big brother back. Even if he had to grovel at the paws of these wolves.

Blue was not a hostile femme, as a matter of fact she was usually pretty easy going. However, if someone questioned her ability to lead based purely on the fact that she was a female, she probably would have laid into them and told them exactly where they could go. She had no time for such terrible injustices, based solely on a gender.

Well Met Scipio, I am Blue Willow though most just call me Blue or Willow. You seek to join us? Tell me what are your skills? Where do you hail from? She nodded towards Dante as he came on scene. Motioned him to come closer after all he was the Alpha, she was merely a beta, he could override her decision if he wished and he may have a question she had not thought of.
Dante was already paying close attention to the conversation, but when familiar tones from a time he thought he'd left behind, his eyes narrowed to a hawk-like focus. A few steps were taken forward, and a part of him wished to turn this man away on principle. Even more so when he heard the titles following the stranger's name . Angelus Mortis. Mors. Dante too had a name that spoke of darkness, but he had renounced it when he left that life behind. This man seemed to hold his with pride.

Dante did not know Latin fluently to speak, nor did he know of the culture of his ancestral home. The Obscurum had only passed on myths, for every pup was taught from birth to hate the lands they hailed from. Those lands had turned them into what they were, and any land that even such a cruel pack as his birth one hated Dante wanted no part of.

His expression was stony, but he bit down the growl that started in his throat. He did react, however, raising his head, fur along his spine bristling some in a rare show of dominance and agression. It was spurred a bit by fear, the thought of his new home being corrupted by the old . He remained silent. This boy's answers better be satisfactory.

"Well Met Scipio, I am Blue Willow though most just call me Blue or Willow. You seek to join us? Tell me what are your skills? Where do you hail from?" Keen green eyes noticed the male step forward, expression stony, he seemed to be alright when he first came but when Scip spoke in the tongue of the gods, he stiffened. Did he have some kind of grudge towards Romans? The greyscale male's fur bristled but he remained silent, which Scip was glad for. He felt he honestly would curse and spit if anyone talked back to him, he was just in one of his 'moods', something that influenced him when he left the pack.

The halfbreed lowered himself in subordination, tail hanging by his ankles as he crouched down. "I am a good warrior, a trained fighter. I am also a good hunter and to me, the pack always comes first, I'll never eat before I hunted for the pack and I take to constant patrolling. I hail from Noctem Vagus, but I have severed all connections with them because of my father's brutal ways." he spoke softly, hoping not to disappoint. If they didn't accept him, well, he would just have to continue his travels as a loner until he found his brother's pack.

Frankly, if someone came to their borders and disrespected either herself or Dante, they would get a tongue lashing they had never known. She had no time for absolute jerks, it was not fair and it was not kind and she did not like it. And she would be more than willing to fight for her friends and family, and she would do it too.

Blue listened closely and didn't have much more to say, so she turned towards Dante. Do you have anything you wish to ask Dante? She did not want to undermine him, as he was the alpha.
Scipio's admittance to severing all ties soothed Dante somewhat, though he was still dubious. His skills, should they prove true, would prove valuable in the harsh season to come, and he seemed to feel as Dante did about the merits of supporting ones self and the pack. In the sense of work ethic, assuming he was not bolstering himself falsely, he would be a welcome addition.

It was not that which worried Dante, but he did not need to ask any of the questions he would like to. Only time could prove to him the truth of Scipio's claim. "So long as you bring no turmoil or violence to my pack, you are welcome here. We are a family and respect one another as one. I hope you will find a place here." His meaning was clear; if he did not heed the words, he would be out. It was a harsher term of joining than he usually gave, but Dante would take no chances. The terms were not hard to live by, after all. He would watch Scipio, as he did all new recruits, and in time he was sure he would earn his trust.

"So long as you bring no turmoil or violence to my pack, you are welcome here. We are a family and respect one another as one. I hope you will find a place here." The halfbreed dipped his head so they couldn't see his face, a faint smile creeping up his features. He planned to serve this pack and guard it well, he planned to hunt for it in the season of winter, but when he found his brother, there was no doubt his place was with him and though he would probably be sorry to leave this pack, he would leave it if it meant being reunited with his brother again.

"I understand and I thank you," he spoke softly, never raising his head to gaze at the two wolves. They were his superiors now, he supposed, if the Alpha made to formally accept him into this pack

Blue studied the two with intelligent gaze, but soon enough she dropped her eyes down in friendliness and wagged her tail. Well then Scipio welcome to the Plateau. Would you like a tour now? Or would you prefer to just get some sleep? It looks as if you have been traveling. I am the healer so if you need anything please let me know other wise. Welcome, and I hope you find it well here.
last from me :)

Scipio lowered his head quite a ways, hiding his face, and the counselor within Dante wondered what thoughts were going through his mind. Dante was a wolf who liked to know what others were thinking and feeling at all times, but that was hardly possible. He seemed agreeable enough in his affirmation, so at least Damte knew he had heard his terms and would (hopefully) try to honor them.

"Welcome," he added, appending his own to the end of Blue Willow's requests. He would likely leave him in her capable hands, for he suddenly found himself not much in the mood for company. He had things on his mind now that he had been quite certain had been left behind years ago.
