Rodyn found himself back to the plateau. Leaving makings and starting to dig dens further in. He had peppered them all around. Some could be for other's to rest in. Some could be for healing and others for caches. He wanted everything to be good for @Samani.

He had taken special care to find theirs and he had yet to find it, but he would. He took a moment from den digging to lift a leg along the borders he and @Heph had made. Making their scent stronger. Claws dug deep furrows into the ground as he scratched at it.

He had smelled others on the wind, but they weren't close enough for him to worry. They were further near the sea. He and Samani had chosen well he felt. Far enough away that there would be no issues. Though he had told himself he would return to Sapphique and talk to them, but now he was unsure if he should. When he had met with Njord his friends eyes had said of stories that were untold and a heaviness. He wondered if it would make it worse, were he to visit.
The girl had been eager to learn the plateau and all of the things it offered them.

There were areas where the trees grew thicker, and their boughs protected the earth from the snow. This primarily grew near the burned forest to the east. She had visited the edge of the wood many times, hoping that she would catch a glimpse of its regrowth. Samani knew it was something that would take time. She couldn’t keep herself from maintaining a sense of hopeful wonder.

Following the scent of her tradesman, the sea girl caught sight of him working hard on a den or a cache.

Rodyn, make sure you are resting, she called out to him, drawing near. The girl’s eyes were upon his coat. He had grown slightly rougher in the work they were doing to form their village. Samani thought it made him handsome. She still worried about his rest.
Samani was fascinated with the new growth beyond them. Where the old met the new, and he found it endearing. She spent much of her time there. HE wondered about briefly making their den there, but was unsure if she would like it so close to the burned out area. He would have to ask.

Her sweet voice caught him unawares, and he lifted his head, searching. He smiled at her and pulled himself from the mouth of whatever it was set to be and trotted over to her, with a tail wag.

He grinned at her boyish and ornery and encircled her with dirty paws, and licked along her muzzle, burying his face deep into her ruff with a laugh.

I will rest I promise. He knew he needed too, he was starting to lose much of his winter fat earlier than he should, from traveling to and fro, his body becoming lean again. His fur sticking up in one way or another from the dirt and movement.
Rodyn assured her that he would rest. The peachy girl drew near his side and traced the spikes of his coat with her nose. It tickled, pricking where his fur had collected dirt. She swallowed the sneeze that threatened her. Samani offered a light kiss to his cheek before she stepped around where she could face him.

The plateau was something of a paradise. Samani wanted to hurry so she could invite Kau to see their village. She would treat her sister to prey from the sea water. It would be a delightful treat, showing her family what she had worked to build with Rodyn.

Do you think Heph would like it here? she asked him with a thoughtful voice.
He took the sweet kiss with good humor. And tilted an ear forward, yellow eyes on her face.

Thus far they had carved pretty decent niche of space. Heph had helped in many ways as had Void. That had the makings if something great and it made his hesrt soar.

I know she does. She came to help mark borders. She's already begun looking for places she may want to sleep.
That makes me happy, she confessed to him, voice soft.

It is important that you have friends here. I consider Heph a friend to me, as well… but she has known you longer than I have known her.

This statement was followed by a laugh. Samani thought she could have worded that more succinctly. It was challenging to convey her reasons for wanting the wandering woman near their home. Heph had made a strong impression on the peachy girl. Knowing that Rodyn considered her a good friend was enough to seal a positive opinion. After meeting her and speaking with her, Samani had been filled with admiration.

You haven’t had any second thoughts, have you?

Jade eyes shifted to him with a playful curiosity.
A smile lit up his boyish face and he dipped his muzzle down. For a moment he wondered if Samani would be like her mother and seek out a wife for herself. He wasn't sure how he thought of that, so he pressed it down. To be reevaluated at a different time.

The wordplay was confusing and it took the hunter a moment to pull through the threads and he joined his laughter with hers. Precious Samani.

She likes you as well. She may prefer your company to mine actually. He teased gently, but good naturedly. He was glad two of the women in his life got along so well. One his dear friend and the other the flame of his heart.

A furrow in his brow and he nodded sagely, a serious expression on his face.

I have. Then a soft wink. Upon why i have let you talk this long without peppering you with kisses of course. Then he set upon her with gentle nips and licks, teasing and ticklish and quickly backed up with laughter in his maw and his eyes alight with happiness.

He lay his head along her shoulder. Honestly flame of my heart. I have not had any second thoughts about anything to do with you. That is the bride price, the move, the pack. Nothing has garnered a second thought.
